hello friends, i don't think at present we need more than seven iit's. if we will increase it's no. to 12 or so, the resources(money,man(good prof's)) available to each iit will get reduce, the result will be dilution of technology, so at the cost of quality we should not increase quantity, particularly in education..
see there was another concept also, that iit's will become research institute, and rec's to iit's. if that thing is in their(government) mind then it's ok.....beco'z naam mein kya rakha he, kam dekho(what is their in name, see the work!!!!) thanx for reading ravneet
