Yes, we need it. I dont understand why exclusiveness is more important than the better oppertuinities of hi-tech education within the country? More important aspect to be kept in mind is more number of IITs should not be transformed to more number of substandard high-fee squeezing colleges. We should equate capable staff, infrastructure, funding etc and it is the responsibility of the Govt and if PM is promising for that nobody should worry about dilution of exclusiveness. Every year thousands of brains are going abroad for Hi-tech studies by spending crores of rupees, if we generate enough oppertuinities here this flow will be reduced considerably.
