Increasing the number of IITs is not a problem but maintaining the quality of IITs is very very important. Don't blindly give the names as IITs,first check whether we can maintain the quality of that name by providing all the facilities and also think whether we can provide best education with efficient professors or not. Since The IITs have popular name all over the world,increase the number of IITs only if we have the confidence that we can meet the Standards. Before increasing the IITs make sure that the IIT-JEE or GATE entrance is standard so that efficent students can come into IITs and they will keepup the name of IITs.
