IITs have always been considered a class apart, an institute for the best of the best .If the number si incereased the exclusive nature and the image of IITians is bound to be tarnished a li'l .The need is to upgrade quality of education in RECs not upgradtion of status. An IIT is an IIT and one should not play games with their flawless technical and academic reputation.
