If at all this upgradation is to be done then it should be done based upon the promise and potential of the institues.

I think there are no NITs other than NIT trichy is having the potential and the best infrastructure to be as IIT ..

It is enoying the Autonomous status since 22 years....Which no other NIT is enjoying..

Then other than this Instt. only IT BHU is at par with IITs...

I think no one can ignore these two institutes when it comes on to upgradation.
