Every year many students appear for the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Many of them are capable and very intelligent. It is just one moment at the time of examination that they feel nervous. Due to this, they get little less marks than they ought to have. This little less makes a huge difference. I know at least 8 people who studied for IIT-JEE with me and who were very intelligent and 'the expected', but they couldn't make it just due to 1 or 2 marks.
Having more IITs will solve their plight.
Though the new IITs will take some time to gain reputation, that time is worth waiting for!
