Dear Readers, This is a very delicate issue, and has pros and cons. IIT'ns are always thought to be exclusive. Now the difference between the other institutions and IIT is the quality of education which is provided only to the "select" group of people who pass the qualifying examination.
I have taken the IIT JEE examination, and one thing is for sure, the result is not based on luck, which would rule out all our qualms about students who are below average getting into the IIT. So my suggestion, would be to increase the number of IIT's,(after all i would like to see every institution in India to be an IIT and every student to be an IIT'an) but maintain the integrity of the education, and most importantly quality of education. So if the IIT JEE entrance examination is either of the same or increased toughness I would be more than happy to see future IIT's in INDIA. goodluck to you all, with regards, srinivas
