ODI-Canberra
by Badri N Raizada on Feb 12, 2008 04:20 PM

India lost owing to bad planning and poor execution. Maybe a bit of overconfidence after their victory against Australia.
Why did India play only 4 bowlers despite the match having been reduced to 29 overs. In the end neither half the team did not bat.And why did'nt they continue attacking and scoring faster knowing that the weather might again interefere and they had 9 batsmen in their side. Result, they were at least 30 runs short.
And why was'nt a simple stragey of tight bowling just outside off stump adopted rather then bowling short and wide with no balls to boot in just 4 overs each.Indeed the match was lost in the very first over of Srisanth. It is obvious that lack of experience is showing and absence of star players like Ganguly is hurting the team.
