It is countries like India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka which generate enormous amount of money playing cricket. The contribution by white nations like New Zealand, and England and Blacks comprising the West Indies to cricket is hardly palatable. The Blacks of West Indies whose ancestors till recently worked as slaves in the sugarcane fields of their white masters and the Whites who extracted work from them whip in hand still maintain that kind of master-slave relationship even to this day. Steve Bucknor's decisions against Indian cricketers and the decisions meted out by White umpires and match referees is simply too obvious to be raised here. However, one should recall the leadership qualities of two of India's recent captains -- Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. I am sure Ganguly would never have let Lara get away Scot free with his "I stand by my players, my players' words are as good as Gospel" and all that crap. Ganguly would have simply told Lara to shut up. Jeff Crowe, and Brian Lara, one wonders how they can ever be called cricketeres. Lara simply chickened out at the onslaught of Dhoni against his bowlers. I would now remember him for this act of cowardice alone!
