alex tagliani was first asian formula1 driver. then there was someone else for minardi , then came takuma sato . so if narain makes it he will be 4th.
well i think it is impossible for narain cos of age and i guess chandok is our best bet. ofcourse we dont know what the other asian countries have in store . many asian drivers find sponsors. the indian drivers find fans not sponsors so we will never make it to F1 till that changes .... unless ofcourse narain wins the formula 2 by a huge margin like michael did.
The PTI journalist made a mistake. Karthikeyan will not be the second asian driver to make it to F1.
There have been at least 3-4 in the past. Other than Takuma Sato, in the recent past there was Alex Yoong, who drove for Minardi. You PTI guys better get your act together.
There have been others... Suzuki was foist asian on podium in 90. Sato was second one this year. Shinshi Nakano, Tora Takagi, Alex Yoong... there will be a lot more I guess... I wish writers would do some background check...
Why cant Reliance , Tata , Infosys , Wipro all together come forward and support Narain ? If they all join hands together Narain can walk in F1 circuit in a seprate team itself.
Narain talks too much. His Jaguar and Jordan test drives are all things of years ago. Sato got a call up years ago. Narain may have talent but he should shut up.
Like the cliche masters who are in the cricket team say - he should let his bat do the talking.
Good to know narain has got as close as the phone call. The kid who is making waves in the go karting circuit is Armaan Ibrahim son of Akbar Ibrahim who happened to be one of india's best drivers back in the day. Wishing Narain all the best.
