We should have sent man to space much earlier. Unfortunately our govt. had hardly any vision and wanted to achieve anything but vote. Even a necleur explosion waited for so long what Mr. Vajpayee did inspire of many odds. Some people can hardly think beyond bread

Without bread people won't be in condition to think. Resources should be utilized to provide healthcare and eliminate hunger. All basic requirements should be prioritized over the study of the planetary system and earth sciences.
The justification for man in space for military needs is unacceptable as resulting expenses of a war situation would be beyond the capacity of Indian economy at current rate of growth even to sustain our present standard of living.

Sending a man into outer space etc.
by daniel thorat on Sep 13, 2018 05:46 PM

It is the most bizarre "dream" for any sober, balanced Indian. Before spending much money and patting our backs on deceptive achievements, let whoever rules India reduce fuel prices, provide housing, medical services, school/colleges, peace and cordiality in India, and arrest the cult of violence under various labels like cow, religious intolerance, etc. Past 4-5 years have already shown us how one or two individuals alone become prosperous and all the rest suffer many things. Send these trouble maker leaders not to outer space, just out of India would be enough.

Space is just 200 kilometers aaway. Journey to moon and back is a week. Mars is 6 months , to and fro. Russia, U.S.America, and China already have space sations to practice for 6 months stay in space.
India needs to practice long stay in space.
