The Congress and the

BJP are singing the same tune on yet another topic in Kerala !

Both want the Kerala govt to file a review petition in the supreme court against the Sabarimala verdict !

And both are trying hard to be heard above the din by common people !

Both are trying hard to present themselves as exclusive protectors of Sabarimala traditions !

Both are competing hard to arrange protest marches and rallies (though the BJP, by virtue of its immensely bigger black money hoard, is far ahead in this) !

And like how big street dogs get a number of smaller dogs to join them in barking, the Congress and the BJP are joined in their agitations and rallies and hullabaloo by small dogs such as the Kerala Congress and even the muxlim league !!

So much noise, so much bluster !

Yet, few really know what the big noises are really about (considering that the only way to counter the Supreme court verdict is to file a review petition and no less than 4 review petitions have already been filed) !

Law of land supteme
by Thing (View MyPage) on Oct 13, 2018 06:46 PM  | Hide replies

Sabarimala is not an independent country. It has to follow law of land whether or not some people think that Lord Ayappa likes it or not. Similar situation had happened in Punjab with Golden Temple. But in the end the law prevailed even if lot of people had to die including a former PM.

SC cannot question your beliefs ... but
by Vijay Sahani (View MyPage) on Oct 13, 2018 04:42 PM

SC cannot question your beliefs … but it can question how you behave in society.

You cannot discriminate against others on the grounds that you are following your beliefs. That is not permitted by the Indian constitution.

I think Mr.PC George is exactly speaking the mindsof the Keralites. And it should be like that. It could be devastative if all religious beliefs are set aside and everyone and anyone is allowed to do anything according to their whims and fancies. I am all support for this agitation to "Save Sabarimala". Everyone should understand one thing Science has not been proven right everytime in such matters. Some things in this life cannot be explained with words.

All beliefs of all religions must certainly be pushed aside if those beliefs lead to practices that violate any provision of the constitution !

And all the fuss is only due to the frantic labour of the BJP to fish for votes in Kerala !

The BJP, despite having innumerable experiences of failure in getting votes in Kerala on its religious identity plank, still thinks it may get lucky with its hyndu.....muxlim.....hyndu.... chant like it does among the worlds stuxpidest people - North Indians !

It is fantasising that it will go from its 10.4 percent vote share to 20 percent if it spends a few hundred crores of its black money organising elaborate rallies in Kerala on Sabarimala !

Jail all women and people for contempt of court
by Jayaprakash Balan (View MyPage) on Oct 12, 2018 04:24 PM  | Hide replies

Its shameless of the Kerala people to be not respecting and adhering to the Supreme Court order. What is left then in this country. All the people and especially women who are blocking the entry of anybody be it men or women be it of any religion be it of any age, should be jailed for blocking the freedom of anybody who wants to visit Ayyappa temple. This is not only contempt of court but creating unrest and instigating unrest in the society which cannot be allowed. Either way Kerala women always loves to be second to men, but that is their choice. Now nobody can be discriminated on basis of gender or age. Why then all the hue and cry about being treated equal. Its really a shame that women are supporting such discrimination. Atleast today's generation of young girls should not join this even if their mothers and mother-in-laws join. Even if one women who is trying to enter the sabarimala is hurt, the entire responsibility of that would be on the women protesting and those men and political parties supporting it. And all the talk about beliefs are false. Why are they scared of giving freedom. If any girl is believer of Ayyappa in traditional way, she will not go and wait till attaining 50 years, whats the harm. But one cannot stop anyone who believes in Ayyappa in her own way and want to see him and pray to him. SC should take note of the political party and their leaders who are supporting this protest and take action against them.

The country cannot be run by bigots. You are absolutely true. At the same time I will tell you that the judges have very poor understanding about governing system. And they are creating problems. SC took around 50 -60 years for deciding that the Lord Rama temple dispute was actually a land dispute. That is why I have revolted against judiciary and the constitution.I am waiting for political support.

THe country is run by bigots. How BJP came to power? It came to power by crushing the judiciary. law and the constitution in the Babari mosque dispute issue. Now they are telling that the matter is under judiciary.

And women who disrupt peace of the land should be barred from doing that even in the name of the law.The law never says that you can create problems in the name of gender equality. If the so called devotee of Ayyappa from the north wants to pray before Him, she can visit any of the Ayyappa temples across the country where no restrictions exist. She can desist from becoming a mere religious tourist who creates problems for the state and become a genuine devotee who understands the deeper meaning of Thathwamasi.
