in his view all other diplomats in India were fools only he was the right man with knowledge. ( self praising is a trend of these diplomats. They should not be allowed to wrie books without any concrete facts. we all know since 47 we had self centered politicians & diplomats. writing books self praising 7 belittling others have become a fashion

So, in Shyam Sarans
by piri (View MyPage) on Sep 14, 2017 02:19 PM

opinion, M K Narayanan and G Parthasarathy scuttled two good opportunities to permanently resolve a good part of the border dispute with Pak and almost the entire border dispute with China respectively !

So, these two tamilians had pushed India into a situation where peace will remain impossible to achieve for a very long time !

And to that extent, the two gentlemen made the country much poorer than it already was !

Mr.Saran is final
by R ponnabalam (View MyPage) on Sep 13, 2017 01:41 PM

"a significant improvement on Deng Xiaoping's earlier 'package proposal'.Not fair or correct improvement? Is that is what is said.'"In Saran's words, this was 'the best deal we could hope to get'". , then a key advisor to the prime minister, 'was not convinced'. His hostility to China was the stumbling block. So let us accept that Mr. saran was the best and the right. He could have taken it to the then P.M. Mrs.Gandhi then. What use now?

No use with ifs and buts
by R ponnabalam (View MyPage) on Sep 13, 2017 01:32 PM

All ifs and buts.We for long were told that the war in 1965 went in our favour. Now the saying it was a draw. Have friendship or courtship the India ship is sailing wobbly on our weak strength on all front particularly economic front .Army marches on it's stomach".First make the country strong not like what the report below says "Over 1980 -2014 top 0.1% Earners (of India )captured a higher share of the total growth than the bottom 50% ( earners of india)(12%versus 11%) and the top 1% received a higher share of total growth than the middle 40% (29% as against23%) web site WID"
