Sorry, there are no quick fixes for Delhi's toxic smog

Kejriwal should set his house right first, and there is no point blaming other States or Central Govt. If Delhi Govt. takes action in right earnest it will take atleast 2 years to improve. Kejriwal is simply sleeping and expect others to take action. This is a pitiable condition.
No one will vote for AAP in next elections.

When the Punjab Govt came forward and gave four different ways to avoid stubble burning to the Central Govt, why didn't the Centre start discussions with them and suggest ways of financing the best method ? It appears that the Centre is the one least interested in solving an issue when a non BJP Govt is involved . Sunita Narain has side stepped this issue.

way forward for a country as heavily populated and as resource stressed as India is. And that is to embrace a low consumption and egalitarian model of development.

No other method will be sustainable in the long term. Neither the technologies that are available nor the ones that have appeared on the horizon can change this imperative......................................Jean Dreze, prominent development economist

CSRIndiacand its role in helping fight the Air Pollution ???

I think this center thrives on the Publicity and Government Subsidies as it has done nothing substantial as such . For example , burning the straws or stubs of the crops ? We can easily devise making if Fuel Briquittes out of these as is done by many Agri- Based Nations . Why has this center not been able to help in this direction if it is supposed bye a beacon of the Pollution prevention initiatives ????

Air Pollution in Delhi !!!
by G S Azad Azad (View MyPage) on Nov 14, 2017 10:40 AM

This should have been tackled during the period Jan 2017 to Sept 2017 while both BJP and AAP were busy with trying to get more and more voters to their fold . It is sad that both of them did nothing worthwhile to tackle this . I had sent a complete list of areas of Pollution and neither any action nor any feedback from AAP or BJP . Shame that both had no time to tackle this major health hazard whereas Central Health Ministry should have taken lead . What should the citizens do ??? They are simply at the mercy of these politicians who make big promises and deliver nothing . God bless the Nation then !!!!!!

Air pollution in Delhi/NCR
by Prakash Chandra Khandelwal (View MyPage) on Nov 13, 2017 10:33 PM

Good piece of article. Two very important contributors to this malady are left out. The dust gathered at the edges of roads which is repeatedly crushed by the fast moving vehicles and made to float in the air and the smoke oozing out from the exhaust of numerous tempos; a single tempo's pollution contribution is more than 100 well tuned cars.

govt is not interested to save us from diseases. They are busy in playing politics against each others. Revolution must come against this corrupt system. We have to save ourselves rather than waiting that someone else will save us.
