Apart from Haqeeqat, One of the most significant roles he played was in BigB-Hema starrer Kasauti. another significant appearance was Aaya Saawan Jhoom Ke where he played Mad husband of Laxmi Chhaya..
Its nice of Rediff to remember even small time actors ....this way. Macmohan was not a great actor, but he used to show his presence even in an insignificant role. May his soul rest in peace..

You are right. Other than couple of movies like Aaya saawan Jhoom ke, he had only 10 minute worth of screen time and may be couple of dialogue. But he had a presence, everyone recognized him and knew his name McMohan. May his soul rest in peace.

Dont be regional... When Nagesh died, I'm sure that news would have been spread in the regional news where he belongs to... but why that news should come at national level where nobody knows him? This guy worked in movies which almost everyone in India has seen so most of the people know him... Dont put such narrow minded and regional stuff here... I also belong to a non-Hindi speaking state but I dont expect other state people to know my language or to know the famous people of my region....

Nagesh was a well known comedian / character actor down south. You cannot compare with mac mohan the well known but small time actor. Nagesh was a legend but restricted to Tamil movies only. He acted in 100s of movies...

Dont be stupid... u cant go to US and tell Americans that Sachin Tendulkar is the better than Michal Jorden or Tiger Woods.... They dont follow cricket and so dont know Sachin.. Just like that Tamli movies are followed by Tamilians... dont expect other people to watch Tamil movies and follow Tamil actors... Nagesh and other actors would be great.. I agree .... but we dont know them and so news about them do not spread across India but only restricted to Tamilnadu... & for your kind informaion, all regions of India are having great artists in all fields... including great actors... so never think that only Tamil actors are great... others can be equally good... or even better!!

Maybe he is referring to A.Raja (Telecom Minister). Now, he is a great actor unlike no one we have seen yet except Karunandhi ofcourse

Who is Nagesh????? I think more than 95% people in India does not know him. But more than 80% people knows Mac Mohan (Sambha).

Sababathi, the generation who grew on the movies of the 70s and 80s cannot forget Sambha. Like many other actors I don't think he got his due.

He didn'r play it fair, even in the last scene. He himself has a bigger card, but did not show to the otehrs saying that he had the smallest card, thereby leting the others board the elevator.

Nowhere Rediff is saying that these movies were hit because of Sambha. Your interpretation is incorrect. Rediff has depicted nothing more, nothing less, the place of Mac Mohan in Sholey.
