Malayalam film industry: most mature Tamil F.I : depend on selective people like Maniratnam,Shankar,Gautam Menon,Rajnikant and Kamal hassan Marathi F.I: glorious past..went to slack in 80s -90s..revived and became mature with films like 'shwaas''walu''tingya''shivajiraje bhosale boltoy' 'devrai''sarivar sarii etc. Bengali F.I: still searching for succesors of Satyajit ray, mrunal sen, ritwik ghatak, rituparno ghosh Telugu F.I: total masaala films Kannada F.I : no one after Raj kumar Hindi F.I: eighty percent trash..no more gurudutt, bimal roy,b r chopra, hrishikesh mukerjee can be found now

Problems is dynasty ruls everywhere, the wont allow the right people grow. All over India, the deserving artists are ignored. Bollywood facing the disaster because of the dynasty rule.

true , i have not seen bengali classics movies since i dont understand bengali , but i can see from picturation that they have made awesome effort. malayalam movies were the same with directors like priyadarshan contributing to commercial movies and others like adoor gopalakrishnan focussing on art movies . the depth of malayalam movies are indeed nice and priyadarshan is an example of a gifted director . tamil movies have occasional brilliant movies also nowdays they are much better than malayalam movies who dont have a proper direction and good actors .

this is excellent Upekshit.. you said it all except hindi.. i would say 90% trash... I guess, "Wednesday" was one good movie from bollywood in the recent past
Both the actors who won national award this time are Kannadigas(Prakash Rai & Umashree). This is really a great honour for Karnataka & for our nation. We can observe the unity as a whole(Kanjeevaram is a Tamil film,Actor is Kannadiga & director is Malayalee). Any way all the best to Prakash Rai & Umashree.
