1. Avoid FMCG products of MNC, encourage, Vicco Dabur like products 2. Avoid investment in land, buidlings, One House is necessary, Government should impart tax on additional land, plot others etc, due to this precious money is blocked, the peroson who needs housing not able to construct because of exhorbitant prices. Control on house, land and holdings is very much necessary. 3. Encourage small scale industries. 4. Agricultural lands should be strictly monitored by the Government. 2. If some one is not utilizing the agriculture land, let government allocate the same to a farmer with a nominal rent to the owner. 3. India doesn't requirement shopping malls, walmarts etc. Like mapping population through Aadhar card with Unique Identification Number. All properties, lands should be mapped with UID. S. Anand

Even copied Pictures too from chinese articles.... Pathetic rediff as usual...they are not even providing a reliable mail service. Many of my important emails are automatically disappeared from my mailbox.
Why to compare import / export, GDP, Growth etc with other contries ? If you want to see our country in top 3, just compare corruption, population & money in swiss banks that's all. Not a single country can hold our hand in these.
Readers are agitated and doubtful of the contents of this article. Need not be. All know that India is one of the main producer of Tea and Coffee but again import them. These are the results of the foolish policies of the central govts over the years. India is signatories of many foolish agreements such as the GATT, SAARC etc and have got numerous bilaterl agreements signed with hundreds of countries. Not many of these agreements are advantages to India thanks to the foolish policies and the spineless leaders who signed them, baiscally to please the country which they visit. Many small scale farmers have committed suicide suicide unable to bear the poor price their products fetch due to these imports. For example cocunut is being imported from Srilanka at 1/4 the price to Kerala which forced prices to come down and forcing local farmers to abandon the crop and switching over to Rubber. When rubber started giving good prices, India has imported rubber from other countries duty free to please the tyre industry.

you idiot we should not have economic inefficiency by banning imports... If local produces are not efficient then they need to be doing something else rather than wasting precious resource producing expensive products... Overall economy will suffer if we try to protect a small subset of our produces by imposing higher duties..
many doubtful information, to be clarified by the rediff reporter and must be inform back to the readers without failure. otherwise we will not believe you any more
