During 1700, India used to be the largest trade partner not only with America but with almost all other countries in the world. India's share of world trade then was a staggering 25%. History repeats itself...this time its for good.
In some cases American's are also helping Indians like Microsoft's Bill Gates contributing millions for health. A leading financial group Exhilway Finance based in US is also investing billions. Companies like Google hired 1,000 in India...it's a mutual growth overall....we Indian's have not done any wonder by investing in US....

In today's world it is no wonder. But ask people of the 1970s and 1980s generation...there will be surprise. The way the indian economy was then, no one could visualize Indian companies investing big dollars in US. We have come a long way since 1991... hope the momentum continues.

There comes a time when the wheel makes a U Turn, and history repeats itself. There was a time in the ancient era during the great Chandra Gupta Maurya and co, India was the wealthiest nation on earth with roaring business with China, Japan, etc. History repeats itself as we see momentous changes happening around us.

I agree with Norah that the US companies too are investing a lot in India and creating job opportunities, a shade better than Indians are doing the same in the US. In an interdependent world, mutual business works out well for both and there is no doubt that Indo-US trade ties are doing exceedingly well as on now. India today is the 2nd largest investor in the UK and the third largest in the US.
