It's idiots like this puranick who've kept India underdeveloped and backwards. They ony see the negative, and always from a very-myopic, narrow and limited perspective. What's it to him what a 2000sf flat will cost? As for electricity failure - this is not useless India- they'll have state-of-the-art computer-controlled back-up generators. As for his other stupid comments - put it down to the ignorance of a simpleton.

We have seen electric failure in USA were people were left without money in ATM's in spite of the so called backups generators. Ramdeo doesn't live in this world. Nothing is concrete underdevloped or over developed
This height is O.K. for monoment like Effile Tower etc but not for building. What will be the loss if there is earth quake. Terrorist attack like WTC. Looking down from 130th floor will give heart fail. What people will do in case of electricity failure, fire in between? What can you see from 130th floor? Nothing except sky. Smaller buildings are always better. Only point of appreciation is Civil, structural design expertise. What will be the cost of flat for 2000 sq. ft on 130th floor? One can buy full banglow anywhere in the world in any locality. All the bests for those involved in this project.

These kind of tall structures will be safe from terrorist attacks in Dubai. After all, they are the terrorists, why would they attack their own!
as far as i know the tallest building in INDIA is in Hyderabad( under construction) 100 flors will be finishing in 2009, it is being built in the business district of sky scraper zone. do any one have any idea about this or any iother building which is been built in india (tallest)

India can not afford to build Sky Scrapers just for pride sake. It should make economic sense. The no of floors to be built should make sense considering the land price at that locality. Only Mumbai and in some cases Delhi really need Sky Scrapers above 60-70 floors. Other cities like B'lore, Hyderabad etc can do with more 20 storey buildings. Remember if you are building such huge buildings, the infrastructure mainly roads and parking in the periphery should support them. Imagine a 100 storey building with 50 Feet roads around them.

But before such buildings start coming in India our government must itself show our civil engineering poweress by building an architectural modern wonder...which is too difficult in India... only then will foreign Investors will have confidence in Indians ability to maintain tall buildings... we are good 20 years away from that day!
