When you buy mutual fund, you are leaving control on others. In such a case, chose a fund which is healthy like Sundaram BNP Paribas, HDFC 100, ICICI, etc., where the experts play a good allocation (based on your initial allocation option mode defined based on your risk apetite). Where as fund like RNRL are considered risky and sometimes they outperform the market and you never knew when. In such case, think about investing RNRL directly when its equity is too low (it came down to Rs.41/share) and recently trading around Rs. 69/share within 30 days). Here you make a killing of 50% cash in a short term. But remember, everyday is not your day.
