Simplify , SIMPLIFY ..
by Anshuman Vora on Aug 04, 2010 08:47 AM  | Hide replies

Specifications in a single chart ( tabular form ) is a better & reader-friendly way to compare .
Windows XP or 7 , MS Office 2007 or 2010 , Validity period of pre-installed anti-virus , Weight , MRP , Speed & competence of after-sales service team , Extended warranty period & ITS cost are also RELEVANT .

Anshuman Vora, Mumbai .

This information is available from Marketing advertisements of these brands. What matters first is cost, which is not given. Why waste time of readers?

People are wising up, if you ever have a problem with a Sony product (and I've had my share) the warranty process really sux. They send cameras to a Nuevo Larado sweat shop where they may or may not repair the item. I went through this with a camera and my brother had a similar issue with wireless headphones. Headphones were returned still malfunctioning and Sony's stance was "Sorry, we couldn't fix these" Asus is the one to buy, using their products for almost 20 years.

I bought a SONY trinitron many years back. While my 8 year old TV had auto mute when channels would go off air, the SONY would scream. Their customer care said that it was their feature.

Sony also uses Memory Sticks, not SD/MMC or CF cards which are standards. So NO to SONY for me

What about Prices ?
by joseph mathew on Aug 03, 2010 11:16 AM

You could have given prices too which will help the reader to select. I have bought HP at Rs 17500. MSI costs around 15000 . As nobody tells the exact prices vendors sell it at different prices.

well, i'd recommend the 1201N..however, the one i have is frm the US..the indian version has a lower price, hence it has lower specifications..u can try one of the acer ULV's..basically from the timelines series..they are nice..
