Pathan can be very handy , considering his batting has always been good, if he takes a couple of wickets then thats bonus, make him bowl couple of overs, if he fails he can always bat.Uthappa should be retained as an opener.Pathan can fit in the position of agarkar. Kumble has to be there, he will be the key man for sri lankas dismissal.
India can only qualify if Bermuda beats Bangladesh which is a remote possibility.Srilanka are favourities considering their form & manner in which they are playing.
Chill out guys! Indian team has mega bucks sponsors. They will ensure India goes thru to the 2nd round... else everybody looses...the only people ending up making monies will be the 15 members men in blue currently on a holiday to Westindies.

Its high time we think of bringing likes of Azaruddin,Mongia and Manoj Prabhakar as Stretegic Managers for our team. Then we dont have to calculate trun rates/points etc.

Guys!! Its the tradition of team india to deliver the success only under "do or die" matches...Jus' look at the past statistics and we all know that if we, team india, on fire, then they dont have the brake or stop buttons..(like iran president's quote to the western countries:)
i am sure lankans are far better players of spin bolwing than any other team..they grind the spinners in teh middle overs and unsettle them wuiet easily...so lets not pick bhajji or kumbles..lets pick santh and pathan, to lend stability in the late order...since they r vulnerable to good fast bowling...we can change the team compo based on the opposition...may be against aussie, we can pick kumbles and bhajji both..since they are murderers of fast bowlers...

you would do good by checking the facts of the last few ind-sl games and seeing what were the spinners figures
Hope this world cup is the beginning of Indian losing interest in Cricket. We need to focus on other sports too. If we so much money in other sports, India can atleast win gold medal in Olympic. Lets pray for people to lose interest on cricket. This is too much

yes you are right! India cannot be good in any sports. They are good in gambling, match fixing etc. So they are very much interested in Cricket where they can do it
