Inzamam showed accountability by retiring after the WC debacle. But I dare any Indian player in current lot to do that, they are so hooked to sponsorship money, hence they will play till they r kicked out. Basically we dont have any sense of responsibility or accountability in any field, right from politicians to cricketers. Best medicine, aks cricketers to play baseball in uSA for 1 year, improve their mentality and toughness and then play cricket. Howz that?

But thats what is the foremost requirement of the team. Dravi should be there. But TenD and Agar should resign, Shewag and Ganguly as well.

How can India go to super 8 if they lose to srilanka?
by Murali Dhara on Mar 22, 2007 02:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

As per the rules of the tournament, we have to beat srilanka. Otherwise even if Bangla lose to bermuda, we cannot enter super 8.
Because the first consideration between teams with equal points is head to head and not runrate as written here. Please recheck and write. Don't give illusions that even if we loose match to srilanka, we have chance to make it to super 8 etc..

If Srilanka beats india...We are out

Dear before write anything, check urself. Incase SL beat India and Bermuda beat Bangal. Now SL is selected for Super 8, to select 2nd team, Bangala beat India, India beat Bermuda and Bermuda beat Bangala. So still we have gud chances for us. But that will not happen. Bangala learnt the lesson from SL sterday. They did lightly sterday match as India did against SL.

Hey Murali It was age old logic you are talking about. That was the case in the previous world cups. Now for this round Net Run Rate is given priority over the Head-to-Head matches

Murali, you are wrong. If bermuda beats bangla, and india loses to lanka, India, Bangla and Bermuda all have 2 points with each beating the other...so net run rate will decide who will go to next stage

Dear Murli, evenif both india n bangla hv same points after completing 1st round, then also as per WC rule 1st they'll consider NRR, if NRR would be same( which is not possible) then only head to head record will come into picture, so pls u get ur facts right 1st.

India at world

Dear viewers,

The date of expiry of Team India has already over three years back. But BCCI has managed successfully marketing these players. Did you ever seen magical inning from any indian batsman or match winning spell to be remembered this act or performance shall be viewed in the context of winning the losing mantch by ternung the table. Look at match against Bangladesh Saurav and Yuvi bated for themself not for victory. Had they bated for win they would have scored morethan 250 runs easily, because they lost their cricketing glaze and skillsets and just manage their place in the Indian scod. This is the only succes story. If we think of winning against srilanka forget. We managed victories by defeating them in India only not abroad where our batsman's skills to face swinging ball always in question and do not forget Murli factor.
All |indian T.V. chanels cricketing experts we see today are big failures of thier time appear on the television. look at their statistics and they never had any contributions in winning the matches for India except Mohinder and Sandeep Patil.
Second thing all T.V chanels attempt to identify next generation players and team selection is mared by the regional bias and lobbying because they ar einfluenced by the commercial aspect and keeping in mind their largest viewership of thier channel from the region they telecast and focus to please those viewership this has no great national interest and thier experts are also from similar region lobby for thier regional upcomming players where as these experts never had any earth shaking performance in their international career. people deiscuss for Sehvag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Saurav,Yuvraj, all have played their career best and has no place in international cricket which makes Team India as B grade Team of this era. look at Dhoni is he cricketer or goal keeper Of latin american football club. When he playd an inning like Salim Malik or Javed Miyandad, stave Wagh,Alan Border and Look at appreciation to his cricketing abilities? more than he deserves.

Sorry for hearting viewrs.

Sharing the truth no negative or cynical thought. But do not carried away by the face value.

Wours frioendly,

Sawant

100% sure that india enters into the next round. i don't have any doubt. they are capable to win against SRILANKA. See the recent past record against them (lanka). Forget about the one bad game (against Bangladesh).
