YES INDIA WILL REACH SUPER EIGHT. No doubt. But how?
I am also a diehard cricket fan like most of you but the recent happenings disturbed me a lot to write this.
After the live coverage of cricket matches started in late 80s the cricket matches became a commercial one and every one including the media, Businessmen, the players, BCCI and ICC and above all the dreaded bookies want to make fast money in the name of cricket. Now days one can find every thing in Cricket matches except Game Cricket. Let us discuss BOB and Pakistan on some other day.
Pakistans exit from world cup is a great loss not only to the Pakistan fans but all the above moneymakers of cricket. Now there is a gloom over Indias chances and if India too fails to qualify for the second round then it will be a huge disaster to all the moneymakers, including the Media, Businessmen, the Players, BCCI and ICC and above all the dreaded bookies, who want to make fast money in the name of cricket. Already messages are appearing that, revenues to the tune of Rs 6000 crores are expected from Advts during World Cup coverage and the matches between India and Pakistan or the matches involving either of these two teams alone will attract huge viewers and huge commercials, generating hundreds of Crores rupees revenue.
Now it is up to the core group including the media, Businessmen, the players, BCCI and ICC and above all the dreaded bookies, who want to make fast money in the name of cricket, ensure a safe place for India in the second round so that they wont to loose their ensured income and so that definitely they will take care of Indian Interest. If such things takes place then what is the difference between sports and drug trafficking.
So I wish India should loose against SriLanka and every one including the media, Businessmen, the players, BCCI and ICC and above all the dreaded bookies want to make fast money in the name of cricket should suffer a lot.
But I Know that, YES, INDIA WILL REACH SUPER EIGHT.

You are absolutely correct Mr. Jurist. All the entities you have mentioned (except Indian Team) will manage to get India to next stage and further ahead.
Its really sad that we ( our Team) is in such a sorry state that our existence in world cup is dependent on teams like Bangladesh,Bermuda. In other case we should have been the first ones to qualify from our group.:( without all this edge on the seat situation. All the best to our team to pull up something good ! Take care
this calculation is wrong for the case if Bermuda bats first in BD/bermuda game. If Bermuda bats first and get out on 50 and then if BD achieve the target in 6th over then they can overtake the indian NRR.
This is the only remote possibility which can prevent india from moving ahead.
Coach Greg Chappell nods in agreement. "The guys have enjoyed a few days of peace and quiet before the tournament, so in a way that's been good," he told Outlook. "It's been a nice change of pace from the point of view of what happens on a normal tour, particularly in India, where you are playing every three days. We have been doing things you would expect to do in the West Indies, things that sometimes the guys don't get an opportunity to do. We've been relaxing, swimming, sailing and snorkelling. And yes, we have had some batting and bowling practice. We have had some good preparation for the tournament."
what is the use of all this ... if india is going to lose to Srilanka... all the equation done above are all gone... and india is out of Super 8... and srilanka has to win so that they take extra 2 points in super 8 and takes a weaker team in super 8. they know on given day india will be real danger to them.

And Sachin shouldn't open as well. I think Ganguly and Uthappa is a good opening pair (FOR NOW)... And why are we talking about this. We all know India's going to lose.

i wouldnt play Dinesh Karthik. The game totally lacks abilities to hit the balls. He can't hit?? He just plays too slow of a game. He is just another Suresh Raina. I don't even know why is he even in the World Cup. Mohammad Kaif was a better option!!
