I am looking forward to a day where India crosses all these kinds of (ifs and buts) and enters next level comfortably. chances of India are too dependent on others' poor performance and really not dependent on what India is performing or performed.

If Dravid wins the toss then India should bat first. Definitely Team India is going to win the match against Srilanka since the SriLankans are now in overconfidence( means they are already in Super 8). Hence India's victory has already decided by the Victorious God. Lakshman, Chennai

hey amazing team, i would go for the same , hope the selectors get some sense. as we then have 5 top line bowlers, and we are really lacking in the bowling department. well not to forget that pathan is a gr8 batsman as well.
Remember Jayasurya and Sangakkara are lefties. That could neutralize Zaheer and Pathan's left arm seam bowling. Jayasurya will go after Zaheer or Agarkar or Munaf early on. India should not let that happen. SriLankans are very good players of spin, so Kumble, Harbhajan and part timers beware. They play Murali at the nets!!! Murali can bring down the Indian run rate for a long a long time. Indians are good at chasing a target. They tend to be lazy and careless and directionless when they don't have a specific target in mind. That is exactly happend with Bdesh. With Bermuda, we had a mission, and they executed it. So, if we win the toss, bowl first.
Even if they reach in super eight by hard luck it is sure that they will never win world cup.Only best team will win and this team is one of the weakest team.Defeating Bermauda does not prove that they are back in form because they never had one.Only they are of indian origin does'nt mean that they can get away with their weakness and irresponsibilities
this calculation is wrong for the case if Bermuda bats first in BD/bermuda game. If Bermuda bats first and get out on 50 and then if BD achieve the target within 6th over then they can overtake the indian NRR.
This is the only remote possibility which can prevent india from moving ahead.

Look afsar,
at present NRR:
India = 5 (commulative, 2 matches)
BD = -4 (commulative, 2 matches)
If india beats SL by narrow margin say 1 run or in the last ball then their NRR remain same as 5 (commulative, 3 matches).
So BD has to cover a difference of 9 (-4 to 5).
if Bermuda gets out on 50, it means their RR is 1 in that match. so if BD makes that runs in 5 overs it means their RR is 10. So the difference is 9 (10-1). In tat case BD will overtake India
I reckon India will go through to the next round --- but it's not because they are a good team but because the broadcasters, advertisers and all other commercial areas, BCCI and ICC included will make more money only if India get thru. Being the cricket mad nation, that's where they'll get the money. So they'll get the Lankans to fix the match and lose since Lanka are already thru. So yea, India will go through but it'll all be a farce coz they don't deserve it!
dear, this only happen when our team india won if banglesh win and we loss then there is no necessity of this avearage so india has first to do defeat srilanka.
