Great Loss
by sp on Mar 19, 2007 12:23 AM

My Condolences to the family of Mr. Bob Woolmer. Its coming as a complete shock and I understand Mr Bob Woolmer had his pressures and maybe he couldnt handle it. Lets not build our own theories on what could be the reason of his death and mourn this loss collectively as Citizens of India and more importantly as human beings. To me , its come as a complete shock even though I dont know him personally , the feeling is that we have lost someone close. May his soul rest in peace

Its a tragic incident. I suspect some inner fighting between the pakistani team which proberly blamed the defeat on him.

There seems to be a doubtful activity behind his death. Who knows....

But certainly this is a loss to cricket world.

WHAT DO U MEAN BY DOUBT HERE. THERE IS NO DOUBT. HE DIED BECAUSE OF HIS TEAMS PECLIAR PERFORMANCE IN WORLD CUP. DO NOT MAKE SUCH CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS.

So besides match fixing, do we have murder in cricket as well?

So besides match fixing, do we have murder in cricket as well?

God rest his soul and give him the justice...

Yes, I agree. Looking at the reaction to India's and Pakistan's losses, it makes one wonder how "sportive" the so called cricket followers of these two countries are. Perhaps, we fans are sore losers ourselves. Why can't we appreciate Ireland/Bangladesh for their performances?

I only hope and pray he was not poisoned (looking at the adverse reactions after the loss, it is possible). Such extreme fanaticism should not be part of anything in life, let alone sports.

I really hope that there is no filthy play behind this. Otherwise this incident will malign the gentleman's game once and for all

I think so too...Chappel is going to do the same because of Great Indian Team....Indian team should learn cricket before going for worldcup, they should not think that they can learn from west indies. It is a big shame for india!!
