What terrible news
by Sandeep M on Mar 19, 2007 12:30 AM

It is extremely upsetting and stomach churning news that former England middle order batsman and current Pakistan coach Bob woolmer is no more. This horrible news comes on the back of the unfortunate death of Manjural Islam of Bangladesh.

Bob Woolmer was one of the finest batsmen England produced and was born in Kanpur India. The 149 that he made in the Ashes in 1975 is one of the finest hundreds seen at the Oval.

Manjural Islam was a very promising spinner who could have played for Bangladesh for a long time to come.

In Pace requiescat, May the souls rest in eternal peace.

A need
by Ankita Gupta on Mar 19, 2007 12:27 AM

A proper investigation is needed in this so called accident. Now, it seems that cricket is shifting from the hands of cheaters (match fixing) to the hands of killers as well.
