AHMEDABAD: With barely a day to go for counting to start in Gujarat, the satta market swung sharply against Modilate on Friday evening, indicating that the state may get a hung assembly with Congress having a better chance of forming the next government.
The satta rates, which had remained static since the last phase of polling on December 16, were not able to take the heavy bombardment of bets on a Congress win where the returns being offered were very high. After a lot of deliberations, satta syndicates brought down the BJP's tally from 102 seats to just 84 in the 182-member assembly.

Mr Val USA, You are traitor to mother India...You dont have any right to comment here. Shut up and concentrate on your work. You are so uneducated and I dont know how you got a job in USA? I have seen lot of your comments in this forum...the only point is you always spit venom on Modi and nothing else. You should learn to think positive...u r a narrow minded ...waste of time to comment on your comments. If you are so concerned, come back to India and work towards your hatred. What are you thinking about urself Mr ValUSA(you are even afraid to write your full name in this forum....why u wanna hide ur real face)
See their POLL in right pane....and see the previous POLL.....how they prompt BJP negatively ..Will Loss? Regim Change? Rediff kind a news portals are real enimies of India....Have they ever published during the Na MO tenure government awarded with how many award? I guess numbers are more than the barking reports published in rediff and by raddeep....rediff suckssssssss
deffnitely we mustsupport a politician like modi correct is always correct wether how many peopels speaking against it. no one can hide the fact this masjid was the dark spot on soft hinduisim, peopel likr afzal guru r still being a loveone, peopel who r involved in bombay blast still enjoyin enough supoort n cooperation from congress, peopel who envolved in bombay train blast is still comfertabely fighting for their case n lawers rn que to help them out, sister of daud ibrahim is favourate n rsspegted cetizen of beharambaug. daily n numbers of hindus leving disgrusted life in jasmir but no one is worried about them because they r not minority. u can find like this lot of examprls in our daily life but if some one fighting for this cause why not getting 100/ support.? i think pepole who r not supprting modi r silent spectator of sinking india.
Friends, if the people of gujarat and for that matter whole India do not awake today to fact of communual politics being played by the congress and allies, we should blame ourselves. Congress is banking on communual divide between the people by making the miniorities feel insecure and making false promises to uplift them. Directly appealing to people on the basis of caste, paradoning terrorists to gather muslim votes and compromising with dignity and security of India is the indicator of attempt by congress n allis to destroy the spirit of nationalism, hinduism and make people feel abt his religion first and seconding the nation. This govt led by foreign born sonia and other who do not care for the natives of this land is only hungry of power. Vote the leaders like Narendra Modi, Praful Patel, Maran, Chidambaram, Manmohan singh but not sonia gandhi, CPI-M leaders. We need visionary, progressive, and strongly nationalistic leaders like modi.

Two Salesian priests and a nun, along with a group of students were attacked by communal elements in Kawant, Gujarat on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
At around 8 pm Salesian priest father Monty Rodrigues, Damien Sladen, Brother Ramesh Durairaj, Dominican sister Manju along with a group of students from Don Bosco Kawant were staging a social awareness play at Baidiya village in Kawant Taluka, Gujarat. Mid-way through the play, some communal elements disrupted the programme and demanded that the group leave the village.
Sensing further trouble, the awareness programme was immediately halted. The group started returning to Kawant. However, on the way back, they were stopped by a large group of persons and were badly assaulted.
In the attack, Fr. Damien Sladen and Br. Ramesh Durairaj were seriously injured. Several of the students, including some girls also sustained injuries.
Attempt was made to disrobe Sr Manju. Only Fr. Monty Rodrigues managed to escape and return to Kawant, where he alerted the police.
Initially, the police refused to file the First Information report.
However, on insistance, a police complaint has been lodged.
Br. Ramesh and Fr. Damien, along with two other of the most seriously injured boys, have been rushed to Baroda for medical attention.
The Salesians of Don Bosco have been working in Kawant for the past twenty five year

Unlike poll surveys, RBI statistics favour Modi
The verdict on who will rule Gujarat for the next five years will be out on Sunday.
Most surveys suggest the going could be tough for the current chief minister Narendra Modi [Images], but statistics suggest the state has done well under him on a number of parameters.
A recent Reserve Bank of India [Get Quote] report says that Gujarat under Modi was the favourite destination for investments in the country in 2007 -- it ranked first on the list with proposed investments of Rs 73,170 crore in 86 projects, accounting for 25.8 per cent of the total.
At a time when state after state is grappling with a deteriorating industrial relations situation, Gujarat lost just 1.03 man days in 2006.
This is better than Maharashtra (2.41), Tamil Nadu (3.33) and West Bengal (152.62). While Nandigram [Images] and Singur were on a boil this year, there has not been a single major land dispute in Gujarat during the past few years.
In the last six years, the Modi government has worked on 72 initiatives including public-private participation in health care, adult education, urban development, rural infrastructure and farming and gender equality apart from encouraging investments into the state.
The state's Plan expenditure has grown at an annualised rate of 32.25 per cent between 2001-02 and 2006-07 and its non-Plan expenditure for the same period reduced by 8.98 per cent.
The annualised growth in revenue expenditure over the period was 4.7

Hindus have had a long tradition of being attacked and enslaved. If even Hindus start complaining, who will take up slavery for a living?

You are right. Even Hindus are not safe under Modi. Godhra happened with Modi in the chair, and 254 Hindus were killed in post Godhra riots.

Forced conversion or coercive conversion from any religion to any religion is bad. Equally bad is torture and abuse of those who willfully change their religion. Meanwhile it is no political parties business to watch someone' religion. Religion is a personal matter of people and it should be respected by one and all.
