It is said that before you love something there is a moment of great hate. Similarly, those who are trying to question Ganesha's existence & propagate their violent philosophies on this board, will one day become great Bhakts of Ganesha. They are giving a lot of importance to Ganesha, otherwise they would be minding thier own business. Dont worry, Ganesha blesses pleople from all faiths, because he is Ganpati (Ruler of mankind). Jai Ganesh

Agar hum galat hain, to aap hame thoda sa gyan deejiyee. Shayad humara bhi uddhar ho jaye.
1. Lord Ganesh was made by Parvathi from her dried menstrual blood. 2. Lord Ganesh was beheaded by Shiva and then reattached with an elephant's head. 3. Lord Ganesh rides some type of a rodent to get around. 4. Lord Ganesh likes his devotees to offer him various types of tasty snacks. 5. Lord Ganesh helps young women get married though he himself has never known a young woman intimately. 6. Lord Ganesh has a pot belly but has been healthy for centuries.
Tell me, can batman, superman or spiderman beat this.

Dear Anand, Nice to know that you have been studying about Lord Ganesha. You could have done better by adding love & devotion into it. Ganesha blesses everyone & he'll bless you also. Anyone can write derogatory remarks against others, it's easy, but try giving respect to Ganesha, you'll feel better.

Dear Dollar Anand!! Staying in America ,you appear to have forgotten all Hindu mythology and the scripts that vividly describe the infinite mysteries of God of whom Ganesha is one.And whether you accept or not,God is omnipotent. What all you contested are possible with him.I do not think, you are an atheist. In case you are married & have any children of school going and attend weekly Chinmaya mission sessions, kindly ask them. They will be explaining better about Lord Ganesha & the need for worshiping Him

stupid fool, if lord shiva could reattach an elephants head, could he not attach lord ganapatis original head as well! The story means to convey that lord Shiva rid his son of ego and made him more powerful and humble. An elephant, inspite of all his strength is one of the most humble animals on earth.People who practice breath control i.e do pranayams for long periods have pot bellies like swami Samartha maharaj,it is not the fat accumulated by eating flesh,so they are healthy and have long lives.
The love, respect & love of people for Lord Ganesha is very much understandable, but in their frenzied love for the Lord, they are changing Ganesha's form & posture as against what is described in the Hindu scripts & are depicting him & making HIs idols in the way they like.In stead of the standard form, people now started giving him the form of Balaji, Krishna,Rama,Dattatreya etc with the decoration & costumes accordingly & of late also are authoring several jokes on His postures in tune with various contemporary aspects of our lives.I am not against rejoicing with Lord Ganesha, but against the very sanctity of what all is told about the greatness of the Lord,we should not make Ganesha an object of humour for our entertainment. He is,after all,the Lord who removes all our obstacles & saves us with His divine grace.Good lies in retaining the sanctity enshrined in the connected ancient scripts & worship Him in the prescribed original form.Every limb of Ganesha & His holdings in all the four hands & also His vehicular creature"mooshika"(rat)some thing special to signify & symbolise.Let us, therefore, not tamper with the original form out of our mediocrity.Hindu scriptures also say that one should take care even to utter & pronounce the slokas of prayer correctly & any misuttterance has its own adverse impact on the worshiper. So,let us be careful while taking liberties with this lord-Gananath,the mustering of whose grace is a must for successful accomplishment of all our good deeds.
What will any idol made of mud do to us. It can do nothing to itself. Believe me its all fake.Embrace islam, the true religion. There is nobody worthy of worship excepth Allah and Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is his messenger). Say and Accept these words to embrace islam to be successful in this life and the hereafter.

MY GOD COMES HIMSELF TO SAVE HIS CHILDREN.HE DOESN'T SEND HIS SERVANTS TO INSTIGATE HUMANS TO KILL FELLOW HUMANS.MY GOD SAYS IN WHICHEVERE FORM,WHICHEVER WAY YOU WORSHIP ME IT REACHES ME.MY GOD RESPONDS TO MY PRAYERS HE DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING BUT PURE DEVOTION AND SURRENDER FROM ME.HE DOESN'T GIVE FAKE AFTER DEATH PROMISES,BUT LOOKS AFTER HIS DEVOTEES IN LIFE AND AFTER DEATH TOO. GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON TO TAKE UP BARBARISM?

Try your best. Over many centuries, many religions have tried to eliminate Hindus, but they have failed. Many civilizations have come & gone (Roman, Gothic, Incas) but Hindus still exist & are growing bigger & richer. If God did not want hindus to exist he would have removed them himself. That means Lord wants Hindus & agrees with them. You may also benifit from following great philosophies of Hundus (Non Violence, vegetarianism, Respect for all & social justice). Jai Ganesh
HI I WANTED TO KNOW WHEN IS THE LAST DAY FOR GANPATI VISARJAN, AS IN KALNIRNAY IT SAYS 14TH THAT IS SUN, SO THAT MAKES 12 DAYS BUT GENERALLY IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE 11 DAYS

Let us look what Allah Almighty said about the Universe in the Noble Quran:
"Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: 'Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly.' They said: 'We do come (together), in willing obedience.' So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge. (The Noble Quran, 41:11-12)"
"Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? (The Noble Quran, 21:30)"
The Arabic word for "sky" in Noble Verse 41:11 above is "samaa", which is the same word used for "heaven" and "Universe". Since the 7 heavens didn't exist yet (because the seven firmaments or heavens were mentioned in the next Noble Verse 41:12), then this CLEARLY MAKES the "samaa" be referring to the Universe, since the heaven was the entire Universe when GOD Almighty "comprehended in His design the sky". He then later divided it into seven firmaments or heavens.
