It is matter of debate on why should political parties be allowed to use tax payers money for their own benefits in creating memorials of their leaders. With due respect to Man niya Kashiram Ji, Mayawati should think positively and spend money for development.
In fact this tradition of creating memorials is initiated by Congress and is taken forward by all other parties at national and regional levels. Delhi has memorials of many congress leaders beginning from JL Nehru, Shashtri, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.There is also memorial for Choudhry Charan Singh, etc. in Delhi. In states also there is many examples with latest from Uttar Pradesh for creating memorial for their leaders.
This is a matter of national debate to reach on a comprehensive policy guidelines for creating memorials, otherwise these political outfits will keep ignoring development issues to make their political equations

It is debatable that who is going to be benefited by so called mega Ambedkar Park and Kashi Ram photo memorial. She could her diverted this fund to develop roads, flyovers, stadiums, etc. The roads of UP are next to Bihar in India. I think the Indian politicians lack vision and they are very narrow minded and selfish. They always think of their own development instead of nations' development. If she is ruling like this for rest of her tenure she will definitely face the music of anti incumbency.

The people who can think with maturity never go out to vote. It does not matter whether road or idol is build with government fund. Who needs raod, Mayawati no; general public no, they go on foot. Development is not required at all in India.
where did she got the money which she is investing in construction of ambedkar parks.did she gave a single coin for free medicines for so called dalits and their education and shelter.she is just other poiliticcian swallowing the money of public.

Caste politics alwasy existed. She only turned it upside down. In UP, earlier 85 % ministers used to be upper castes and now under Mayawati it is non upper castes who are 85 % , which they deserve also keeping in view their share of population.
