Where is the so-called growth? Hu Jintao and his party and their counterpart in India are answerable
by Sebastian Cherukanam on May 12, 2008 06:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Death of students is pointing to a terrible reality. In countries like India and China, the growth that is proclaimed is vertical only. There are many areas like educational institutions, especially the ones owned by the government where foremost attention should be given, are ignored completely. They are constructing 100-150 storey buildings having earth quake resistance capability but when it comes to schools and other such institutions, even single storey buildings are not strong enough.

I still remember those school days when we, the students, were asked to run out of the school building for fear of collapsing it on us during rainy season. When I visited the school recently after 30 years, I was shocked when I saw the same building there.

Make amendments at least at this eleventh hour please.

Earth quake resistance building is a stupid concept - it can bear only a earth quake upto 3.00 on rector scale. after that it also collapses.

Earthquake or no earthquake, China will top the Olympic medal list this time for sure. Such is the kind of preparation the Chinese are putting in.

The days of the U.S leading the gold medal tally are gone.

my dear vivek don't be sentimental, there is no place for your sentiments in religion. By your sentiment you can't change sweetness of sugar or sour of the salt. Likewise the character of the nature can't be changed by you and me. This catastrophe happens due to the total reaction of the collective reactions of the area. Every action we perform has equal and opposite reaction, likewise the action performed in the area causes into the total collected reaction. In vedic religion there is no place for sentiment. That's why the vedic knowledge is been imparted to the people where the 5 basic things are studied. Living entity, Material World, Controller of these both, Time and Action. If these things are not understood by us and just jump like a monkey saying jehadi that this and some mythological characters its all sentiments. That's why every question had an answer in the vedic culture who used to dedicate there 1/4th of their life in study and other portion of life to just realised it practically. All these sentiment religion like so called Hindu, Christian and Muslim is been kicked in the Vedic Literature
