thats really a shameful event...do u even see a bird on the streets of western countries????? there should have been a cow in stead of a dog there...hey terrorists can get a very gud idea...they just need to leave a cow on the runway while the plane takes off...and boommmmm

Western countries are no good either mate.. things like crash and belly landing are pretty common here too... however, not for dogs/cats though...

I hit a dog (with my motorbike) and broke my hand in very Bangalore, just few hours before I was supposed to catch my flight to US. This isnt a news itself I would say.

LOL ... abhee communist logan enquiry launch kurr rahen hein aur fund raising kurr rahen hein jackal ke liye
wehave heard of the day of the jackle, it seems to be the night of the jackle, what then can one say, in a freak accident of this kind. i know the trauma of a technical snag as i have experienced my self . good that all are safe
Times now said it is a Dog and you say its a Jackal.... ANd i just checked in Google which says, Jackals tend to look like a cross between a wolf and a fox,,, Whatever it is thank god all the passengers are safe...
Is the jackal so high that an aircrafts nosewheel hit it, or did aircraft fell in love with the jackal and lowered itself down to kiss the jackal? what was the security doing or is the jackal a friend of the security and came to meet them? Is the nosewheel so weak that a small jackals touch damaged it so badly? then how safe are the passengers in such an aircraft? Did the jackal clear the security checks to enter the airfield or does it have a special permission? Is it a scheme funded by pakistan or is the jackal a terrorist? Is this case being handed over to CBI? Is it time we dump the small planes and go for larger planes? Is it time we have a special insurance for passengers travelling in small planes? Did this incident draw the attention of the media and did they land in front of the aircraft and jackal in large numbers with cameras, and live telecast the opinions of jackal, aircraft and passengers and others there, day in and day out in all channels? Did they invite distinguished guests to hold prolonged discussions in TV on this subject, guests included animal rights activists and environmentalists etc? Should we start providing insurance to jackals and other animals?

abbe moorakh, nosewheel is the fron wheel of the aircraft ... jackal hit the nosewheel, not the nose

Guys Guys... Nose wheel is smaller than other wheels and it takes too much load during running before take off. Easily a jackal or a brick can cause it to disorient and skid and eventually brake. This is absolutely possible and don't try to mock the situation. If there are stray dogs out there, it is the responsibility of the people, not the government. If you see a dog give birth to many pups, and you dont want them, its your duty to call the corporation of your locality to take care of the pups or call blue cross and they will deal with it. Else they grow up and find their way into runways and almost kill people. You dont see these kinds of accidents in western countries, because they do what i just mentioned. So wise up friends and do the right thing.

Obviously, yer an aviation illiterate. Forget a jackal, a bird hit can absolutely damage the heck off a plane.
Yeah, as far as the jackal on a runway question goes, that's something AAI needs to address to. Shouldn't the airport authorities pay for the delays and latent losses as a result of such incidents, if they charge so high on their landing fees with such congestion, they should also be ready to pay for damages.
