World War II has ended 63 years back and all the old Nazis who killed people across Europe are now dead or far too old to be tried and extradited. Even the traditional Nazi hunters like Simon Wiesenthal have become old so forget the average Nazi who would be born sometime in the 1890s and early 1900s.
People are far more interested in Al Qaeda. Throughout the ages, we have had Idi Amin, Pol Pot and Slobodan Milosevic as the worst killers that mankind has seen. They have all been forgotten.
Also, I feel people would not even be remotely interested in something like Auschwitz or Dachau since we have the media examples of Godhra before us. Indians have no sense of history and would think of Auschwitz as a new German car brand rather than the concentration camp that it was. Also, our modern politicians are far worse than Nazis who at least tried to build an efficient and prosperous Germany.
I am therefore surprised that such news news even made headlines on rediff and I was incredulous that an old Nazi was living in Goa with an 18th century piano. I would have liked to have actually met such a person but I knew that it would not be true. Anyway, Sieg Heil!
just read in hindu today , the details regarding the hoax and how media had fallen to it . the article goes on to quote the dailies creative add ons for a good measure also..what amuses me though is a decent newspaper like "the indian express " also had got hooked like all other b grade dailies to seek a cheap sensation .. read this article in the hindu dated 1.7.2008 .. on the right bottom side of the centre editorial sheet (i think the title somewhat goes like "interesting stories that are too good to be checked " or something like that)
I don't know when or don't know how but one day west has to pay for the havoc they wrought among the rest of the mankind.Think about this British went to China and demanded to be allowed to trade tea for opium.Chinese refused, British bombed the Chinese.
They came to India for trade, found how utterly divided India were at that time and took control.For that only India has to blame.Even now I am shocked by the regionalism among Indians, it's sickening and questions the very foundation of Indian republic.No wonder we have seen Secessionist movements in Punjab, J&K & North-East.
But the fact is western countries who consider themselves as the custodian of civil liberties and human values were the most barbaric forces in the history of mankind.
What if two hundred years hence one eastern ruler, affected by the historic wrong that's done to his proud nation sets out to set right the history and hence colonizes England or other Imperialist countries of the past, loots, pillages and lays waste their society to a state they left their former colonies.Would that be poetic justice??

Whetther it is this particluar case on Arushi murder case Indian media has proved that their main motto is to create Stories rather than reporting the facts.Media in the counry has reached its nadir with incompetant,self-centered idiots becoming reoprters and selling their stories. Its high time the government take such media coverages to task.

Truman bombed Japan because he wanted to take revenge of 7th Dec 1941 which killed his army officers when America was not participating in the war and Japan attacked pearl harbour as innocent lives were lost. before bombing Japan they asked Japan to Surrender when Japan said no they bombed Japann
