Thank you Rediff Team, You have given the good news!
by Arijit on Jun 26, 2008 01:35 AM  | Hide replies

Thanks Rediff, at last after a long period you have been able to put an unbiased news!

Kulaks, comprador bourgeois, lumpen proletariats, regimented stalinists are always having multiple "apprehensions" before acting in their own way! They think of their own self! And thus, always SELFISH by nature! See West Bengal, Tripura and Kerala! All these there states are politically corrupted by these neo-marxist lumpen proletariats! These Kulaks are indecisive and selfish as they need to discuss the matter of the meeting with political hooligans whom they hire for election campaign through rigging in elections till counting procedures! Anyway, vast sensible majority of this country must not bank upon CPI-CPIM. Dr. Singh, please go ahead with your proposal and DUMP left in anyway! If you fail to do so, please allow any sensible political party, except CPI-CPIM, to take over the charge and do betterment for the mankind!

Pseudo-communists and third front cannot take the power! Nobody believes Mulayam. Nobody believes lumpen communists of India!

Rediff team generally spread news in regard to the CPI-CPIM. Sometime it appears that they are spreading those news for propaganda of pseudo-communism in India. For this case, Rediff has done a good job excluding the propaganda for pseudo-communists of India. This deserves thanks to Rediff team members! At least, this time the news is not sponsored by Cummies!

This is just a congress ploy to divert people's attention

from the actual issue. As inflation is more than 11% everything is so expensive. Congress is desperately looking for a poll issue and that's why they are doing this now. The timing is only because of the coming lok sabha election and they don't have anything to say in terms of development and inflation. They are trying to divert people's mind from those real issues. I am not talking about commies here as they are not human being at all but for congress, they don't have a choice either. They have failed miserably in keeping prices down and making the common man happy. go to He.. congress.

I think this is a requirement for us in the long run.Doesn't the commies get the message that nobody likes them.Likes of Karat an Yechuries..don't you read nespapers ? I think we are just giving them undue importance that they don't deserve but thoroughly enjoy. And since when did we start taking the advise of the commies about national interest..everybody knows their stance in 1962 about the Chinese invasion,Maoists etc etc.The real thing to do in "National interest" would be to ban this party.

fortunately or unfortunately the problem of inflation is global and is not tied just to crude oil price speculation. Even kuwait is suffering from 10% inflation inspite of being a substantial oil exporter.

Who is with India and Who is not ?
by Whois on Jun 26, 2008 01:23 AM  | Hide replies

This deal is a road map to dream of INDIA a super power in next 20 years.

Without the Nuclear Enregy, How can you dream of providing a 24x7 flawless Electrical Energy power to a nation. If you are always short of Electrical How Industrialization Growth can be predicted ? we will have a STOP over on IT growth without power. Increasing fuel prices, need of hybrid or electric cars, Can you dream of them when ther is no 24x7 power in India

Think Broad ......

one atom bomb test explosion by BJP restricted us to go out of Nuclear Energy, its 10 years now.

What do you think? Was India not capable of Nuclear Bomb, before BJP goverment ? If not how can you test within 3-6 months of BJP as power.

What was the use of test explosion, just after test explosion ..... Kargil occured, and our Goverment gave safe passage to intruders.

It need a Broad Vision for a nation to GROW.
- MMS shows financial vision, we have a surplus of finance today.
- Rajeev Gandhi dream of 21st century technology dream, look at our IT growth today.
- Jawarlal Nehru / Indira shows independent Industrialisation we reached at best in 70s and 80s, Look how Reliance / L&T / Hindustan Liver / Godrej growth at that time.

If that would not happenned think about india then.

what BJP / Third front gave - Can you remind a single turnaround, these people have been in oower for 10 years atleast. Third Front gave Mandal (castism) BJP gave Ram mandir (Regional conflicts)

Decide Who thinks abt INDIA!

I don't think nuclear power contributes more than 7% of our total energy needs. If nuke energy had been so effective then we should have seen much of the US powered by it. So, viewing this deal as a panacea would be highly naive. I feel this deal is more about strategic alliance with the US than about nuclear energy.

I cannot agree more to it. Its certainly a plan intended to bring India under nuclear non-proliferation(123 agreement/hyde act) treaty curbing our rights to further develop nuclear technology for our self-defence.
Also signing this agreement makes India dependent on US and other western countries for Nuclear technology.
I cannot see this as anything other than a trap.

I do not have facts about USA, even if it is 7% , its too much.

US is also facing Energy problems, they need it most due to their very high requiement, due to their whether and their military power.

As fas as I know, Gasoline prices have become extreme hgh in last 2 years. Electrical Power also has a steep price increase.

This is the right time to use best if Nuclear energy.
Many other Coutries like Australia, France, Russia are taking best use of it ..

You do understand that even if we hadnt done nuclear tests we still wont receive these technologies right? you are aware that we are restricted from using these technologies because we have not signed CTBT ? And you are also aware that US and other NSG countries are now ready to let india sit on nuclear table because india is a defacto nuclear power now and it simply doesnt make sense for them to hold back civilian technologies and kill commercial interests of their own companies who plan to supply these technologies to India.

I am sure you know all this but you have been blinded by your love for Congress to look at these facts

read guys.. obama's energy vision..
by iJ on Jun 26, 2008 12:56 AM  | Hide replies

I have a very different vision of what this country can and should achieve on energy in the next four years – in the next ten years. I have a plan to raise the fuel standards in our cars and trucks with technology we have on the shelf today – technology that will make sure we get more miles to the gallon. And we will provide financial help to our automakers and autoworkers to help them make this transition. I will invest $150 billion over the next ten years in alternative sources of energy like wind power, and solar power, and advanced biofuels – investments that will create up to five million new jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced; that will create billions of dollars in new business like you're already doing here in Nevada. And before we hand over more of our land and our coastline to oil companies, I will charge those companies a fee for every acre that they currently lease but don't drill on. If that compels them to drill, we'll get more oil. If it doesn't, the fees will go toward more investment in renewable sources of energy.

Even B grade or C grade universities in UK/USA produce more research papers than all IITs put together...
How many PhDs IITs produce compared to western universities?
I think HRD ministry should make IIT administration and teaching staff more accountable on all these things...

Blame it on the politicians who have sucked the blood of indians for the last 50 years and have reduced a country with immense potential into a poverty stricken pile of shit. Thats why many of us leave to a country which is developed and has a better society and more money put in research being done in univs.

Congress not to rely on left parties
by mallaiah anchoori on Jun 26, 2008 12:53 AM

The very fact that Congress wants to go ahead at a time of its own choice is indicative of the fact that it would like to give time to left parties and ,in the proces, also gain time for itself to pacify left parties whose support is a must in the interest of stability of the govt at this crucial time when the country is reeling under the spell of galloping inflation which, if allowed, is sure to axe its election prospects.Congress appears to be believing in the concept of"wait and see".It fully knows that left parties always more of nuisance value than any contributive value either for the country or its economy.Despite so much of development all round, they still hang on to their rotten old theories which would not at all hold good in this 20th century.A veteran of their party-like Jyothi Basu himself admitted publicly that socialism would not work in India. It is time for Congress not to depend opportunistic parties like left for its existence. It is better if it sits in opposition gracefully rather than depending on such elements who are masters in drowning the boat in the midst of the ocean. If it really goes ahead boldly with N.Deal notwithstanding such threats and comes out successfully,it adds at least marginally to its dipping credibility. It need not bother for left parties who themselves may come to terms as they too are afraid to face the electorate intermittantly like this.It remains to be seen as to what is in store for Congress during next few trying weeks.

Deal is dead. Whether to continue the present incubment or not is the real talk behind the screen
by satyarthi on Jun 26, 2008 12:51 AM  | Hide replies

None of the talking partners are discussing the outcome of the deal. they all know that it is a closed chapter, atleast for the time being. They, infact are discussing the alternative to present incubment, who is admant to quit after loss of face. Sanjay Baru, the man in confidence, knew it earlier, so he left PMO few weeks back.

The late evening hours talk between PM and Sonia Gandhi is about this. He is being persuaded to remain on the post without the deal. If not, he may be allowed to quit.
