By giving coverage to a courageous personality like Dr. Binayak Sen, rediff is promoting responsible journalism in mainstrem media. It is a lesson for every Doctor in the country what providing health care to the poor means. Would the doctors of AIIMs and other medical institutes stand up for Dr.Sen and join the hunger strike? Show us that not only can you hunger strike for your own causes (reservation issue; salary etc.) but when time comes you will stand up for those who actually work in remote areas to bring meanigful change in lives of sufferring masses.

Reservation issue affects the entire nation....AIIMS doctors invariably go abroad, so reservation does not directly influence them. Quota is means for devaluation of the nation
yes rediff too is scared of maoists,naxalites and poisonous PUCL/NGO workers.it hardly matters because mr. sen is a traitor like u and hence woul remain in jail--lalit kumar

Why state Govt created SALWA JHUDDUM from ordianry villagers so as to protect its Police from Naxal attack .even the supreme court asked the govt to disband the pvt militia and you know what is the strength it has got ..A whopping 60000 people and they commited atrocities on villagers .Simply because someone is supporting civil liberties in this country ,he becomes either a naxalite in any case if you dont support caste and communal politics you will be termed as naxalite because the in the name of religion everything is permissible than the countrys name fame is least important to such zealots.

Please let me know any PUCL or so called massihas of democracy who are involved in helping kashmiri pandits, hindus burnt in godhra train. hindus killed in coimbatore blasts. . there are none as hindus cant pay in yuan and petro/vatican dollars.. i hope u understand. . if binayak wants to serve people let him go to tsunami affected areas, are in WB where there is bird flu. . let him go to myanmar to help the people from the post cycolone epidemics. . Agents dont serve people. .

i am not a commie or a secular politico... . i have helped people who were in need and did not see thier id cards for thier names before helping. . its a commie/congi/church attitude to help people with certain names and regions. . The riots itself is a blot on the govt which engineered it..more than 3000 killed ,many raped.,and it gave enough ammunition to the Jihadis to wage war .They need another fundamentalist to further thier cause ..and that was amply gievn by NM. As far as church is concerned ...it only has non christians wherever it does humantarian work whether it is during Tsunami,earthquake,or floods .many others come and have photo oppurtunity and church or christian NGos are the one who remain till the end. Hospitals ,schools are established where no one wants to even go .

It saddens me when a person like dr binayak sen is put behind bars for over a year now not single political party has come out openly in favour of him .I think for some hindutava for others secularism is important and for nobody human rights is an issue .What a tragedy this country faces in land of mahatma,sardar patel and Nehru who were champion of democracy. How long will our leaders shut their eyes remains to be seen ? Can anyone imagine a person who has done so much for the downtroden is facing charges of sedition ...It is true if you are from a rural background and have a following and you do all sorts crime like dacoity,murder ,rape and every crime in the book you can get away because for you ..you are struggling against injustice.But if you happen to be educated and doing real work among the rural folks ,you are bound to be targeted .that is how are system works .Its a tragedy that even the PM is quiet on this issue .Simply because it pertains to the state Govt .. What a gross misscarriage of justice .Where are those shabana Azmi's,Javed Akhtar and many of our left leaders who are champion of democracy..? is anybody listening.
