by Full of Joy on Jul 23, 2008 12:44 AM

Its a golden day for India and now India can really compete China, Brazil, Mexico and Rusia in terms of Infrastucture as energy is very vital factor for growth in GDP for any country and nuclear is the future for the power energy. cheers ...

the darkest day of Indian democracy if one call our country that

All the political parties have failed the people of India. The trust vote was not for the N-deal,but for power at the centre, and of course for the horse trading with all it's benefits. It was indeed shameful a scene in the Lok Sabha and absolutely nauseating.I bow my head dpwn in SHAME.I think the PM was an honest person, man of integrity and is not now, having been a part of the sham called the trust vote with allit's shenanigans.

The honest Dr.Sing was gone. UPA is offering CM posts and minister posts to MPs having criminal charges and are in jail. So no surprise if UPA bribed MPs to win trust vote:-((((

Destruction of peoples faith in Democracy
by Bharat Kr on Jul 23, 2008 12:40 AM  | Hide replies

The scandalous scene witnessed by millions of people, courtesy live telecast of proceedings inside the Lok Sabha, of three BJP MPs depositing bundles of currency notes, given to them to abstain from voting and thus help the Government to survive, on the table of the House, has not only served to substantiate stories about Opposition MPs being bribed but also exposed sanctimonious and self-righteous UPA and Congress leaders for what they really are: Cynical politicians who can stoop to any level to retain power, never mind the consequences of their deed, namely the erosion of people's faith in democracy. Critics would argue that it would be naïve to expect the Congress and its 'friends' to act any differently; a party that is scornful of democracy cannot be seen to be upholding the dharma of parliamentary traditions. Let us not forget that another Congress Government had won a confidence vote by bribing MPs; coincidentally or otherwise, Mr Manmohan Singh was the Finance Minister of that Government. His 'conscience' had not bothered him on that occasion too.

The MP who brought bundles should be interogated. If the bribing is true, we should sack Dr.Sing. Of course they are offering CM posts and minister posts to MPs having criminal charges and are in jail. So no surprise if UPA bribed MPs to win trust vote

Happy?
by Mahesh on Jul 23, 2008 12:37 AM  | Hide replies

Happy at buying MPs? Happy that your govt survived by the cross voting of MPs that you bought? Simple math... If the 12 MPs had voted according to their party decision the govt would have lost. Did those MPs had real concern for India or the nuclear deal? I doubt. Their concern would have been something else. You should be ashamed Dr. Singh.

BUT SINCE WHEN SHRI MMS BEGAN TO FEEL THE SHAME?

HE EVEN BROUGHT SHABUDDIN AND PAPPU YADAV TO SHOW HIS MUSCLE.

BUT ONE THING GOOD. AS SOME ONE SAID HERE,

JINNAHWALA AND CHINAWAL ARE DEFEATED FULLY.
THEIR SUPPORT TO MMS AND SONIA DID NOT WORK.

A Private deal for America's benefit
by Bharat Kr on Jul 23, 2008 12:36 AM  | Hide replies

It is not surprising that the Americans were first off the block to congratulate Mr Singh, even before the votes had been counted and the result was officially declared. After all, not many Prime Ministers 'report' to the US President.

IF UPA LOST THE VOTE, MAYBE CHINA AND PAKISTAN WUD HAVE CONGRATULATED . SO AMERICA IS FAR BETTER BUDDY !

THE ONLY SHAMEFUL FACT IS THAT CONGRESS UNDER SONIA AND MMS RESORTED TO SUCH BRIBERIES. THE BIGGEST IN HISTORY. ALSO THEY BROUGHT GOONDAS FROM THE JAIL. LIKE PAPU YADAV AND SHAHBUDDIN WHO ARE CONVICTED FOR MURDER !

NO DOUBT BEHIND MANMOHANS KIND FATHERLY SMILE, A SHAME LURKS. MAYBE ONE DAY HE WILL ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AS GURUS DONT PERMIT SUCH THINGS.

Read the editorial in The Pioneer, A pyrrhic victory. Note, US said openly they will do the deal, even with a minority Indian govt. That shows whose benefit this deal is. US business lobby are elated with the results.

PM got hidden support
by BahujanHitay BahujanSukhay on Jul 23, 2008 12:31 AM

Dear Friends, PM got hidden support of MPs and not open support. When there is hidden support there are many things hidden. Once Left and BSP openly withdraw their support then the Govt. should have been asked by President to show figures openly. The secret voting has brought all the BLACK/CRIMINAL elements into forefront. This led to defeat of Indian democracy.

this is the last cong govt.it came in the name of common people but it betrayed it.look.

1. legal hoarding limit still kept intact.

2. record production of food grains but still price rising.

3. significant rise in price of all product's prices.

4.india is self sufficient on products STILL PRICES OF EACH AND EVERYTHING IS RISING LIKE HELL.

5.300% rise in house prices.

do not say that it is a global phenomenon because india is self dependent on all types of products.4% inflation is too much for europe and US .so do not compare.

horaders, speculators and black money is given full freedom by cong ,this is final reason

there was hoopla by western countries about india 's progress so that to create market while situation is not different from 4 years back ,even worse.also banks are becoming bankrupt as they have given money for aquisitions abroad.

the evil trio of fake and useless economists mmsingh,p chidambaram and ms ahluwalia have ruined common man's lives.inflation at unimaginable levels, tax on each and everything, real estate 300% etc.these should be sent to world bank or US.
AND CONG USE NUKE DEAL TO DIVERT ATTENTION TO ITS FAILURES AS IF NUKE DEAL WILL SOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS OF COMMON MAN.YOU ARE A FAILURE MANMAOHAN SINGH ,ON EVERY FRONT.

india is lucky to have a visonary PM like MMS
by raj on Jul 23, 2008 12:26 AM  | Hide replies

Please gothrough PM's lecture which he delivered today in parliment before commenting anyfurther on his chracter. He is danm right that same BJP and left opposed his ecnomic reform polcies when he was working as a FM under PM N Rao.Because of theses reforms there is bread at the table of lot of indians. I am one of them. I still remember 90'S when there was no jobs even after a MS degree. Same is gonna be ture for Nuclear deal . Diversification of energy policy is essential and this BJP and left is gonna realize latter. As far as taking help of Muslim MP;;;;;;had BJP would have supported him in this deal of national interest he woulnt have needed it.Now just for info the quote of GGS which he gave today means ----OH god ! bless me so that I can do what is right and only right. Eventhough I have to make some sacrifice ,even if I have to loose my life-- still I do only what is right and only right. And that"s exactly what he did . For him national intrest is above all .....Honestly BJP was trying to topple gov just for chair .Even adavani said he is not agaist partenship with USA

u r absolutely right.
and think bjp is such a loser that it claims congress bribed its MP's for the vote.
why did u in the first place give tickets to idiots who could be bribed and sell their soul for money and place money over ethics.
i dont see anything wrong in buying MP's. all the other parties (including coalition partners in UPA have created such a situation that an honourable man like MMS may have to resort to such things (if he was a party to bribing)
why dont you give him a conjusive enviornment for doing reforms.

only congress was invloved in horse trading.
BJP and BSP are the biggest culprits. BJP clearly did not want the nuclear deal at the hands of congress and this was only chance that mayavati could come close to becoming a PM or for that matter being talked about as the next PM if the govt falls (this is what she thinks although she stands no chance)...
who were the bigger beneficiaries????

God bless you!Gurgaon power cut...is your worry..Had your leftists won they would have put back the trams that cut across your flats. You could have gotten into it and stand comfortably along with the other bunch of people. The trams may move when the Bengali worker decides to work(occassionally ) and when electricity comes(sometimes in a day surprisingly)..Happy days are gone poor Raj.
