I hope Congress knows what it's doing. If this N-deal is going to force us to abondon our N program or stop us from making new N tests then nuclear power which will be 5% of entire power production in India will come at very heavy price.

when MMS says - you can be assured that this agreement doesn't stop india's n-weapons program. if that's not the case, UPA would have never won the trust vote today. take it for granted.

who killed democracy? in the last 60 years only the selfish, sycophant and corrupt political leaders demolished democracy in parliament. the democracy was brought in so that people decisions can be heard to move the country forward. what ultimately it became is vote bank politics and selfish political leaders keeping their own personal and family interests first in line.
how do you justify maya wanting to become PM? look at UP. she wants to become PM just for the only qualification that she's a dalit. Is that democracy you taling about?
Well done MMS, well done. Great victory. The nation also wont forgive Advani to bring Indian parliament to shame in the eyes of the world by allowing its members to bring alleged money for some political mileage. The young India is roaring!!

why mms was silent for last 2 yrs..well..mms is the only good guy in congress..its he , for whom congress is going to sign the deal..otherwse the congress is crap..and i don think congress will never allow mms as pm again...they learnt a lesson from mms...trust vote ke kitna papad belna pada..sonia ko pata hoga...
As a stunned nation watched the sad spectacle of wads of currency notes on the table of the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the Mr Clean of Indian politics -- Prime Minister Manmohan Singh -- sat impassively, betraying no emotion. The man of the hour must have realised he could do little now to erase the perception that he had won the trust of the House by buying and alluring MPs and putting a shameful blot on the face of the Indian democracy.
In a way, history came full circle after 15 years when former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao bought the JMM MPs to save his Government. But then Rao never claimed to be a paragon of virtue and the issue at stake was only the survival of his Government. But in the extant case, at stake was not only the fate of the Congress-led coalition but also the future of the controversial nuclear pact with the US.
For the nation's interest this is a great achievement. Nation will remember Mr. Singh for his leadership and clean character. I respected congress party only when Shastri was the PM. Now Mr. Singh is improving its image. I liked BJP because of two great leaders Jai Prakash Narayan and Vajpai but the new leaders only seem to be poer hungry bent upon toppling the govt. and cause instabilty in the country.

Look at the 'wonderful' performance by the BJP and the LEFT. This trust vote was really meant for the discussion of the most vicious subject THE N-DEAL These parties took it as a chance to make political mileage out of it. How many sentences (rather words) were uttered by these people about the N-deal? Did they mention anything critical about the subject. Could they not read the many debates in several forums? They had several points to state which could 'lock' the congress. They should have narrow down the debate to N-deal. They wanted to prove their political superiority. But the intelligent opponent managed them in the way the congress drew the line!!. I doubt very much 'they are for the N-deal”. Then what for all these noise? Tell the people.
The West Bengal was well developed state some 30 years back. By the mis-rule the state is brought down to the level which forced them to preach 'capitalism'. Budha is a capitalist wearing a communist gown. People are aware of it. Budha wants to bring the past glory of Bengal by adopting capitalist methods. Then why did they make this state to the present condition? They may not accept this.
Advani's speech was very saddening. He claimed that the deal will be renegotiated. Is it possible? Within the next few months MMS will commit billions of rupees worth of contracts. No government can disown such commitments. Do not fool the people.
This is the speech of PM (observe the language) The Leader of Opposition, Shri L.K. Advani has chosen to use all manner of abusive objectives to describe my performance. He has described me as the weakest Prime Minister, a nikamma PM, and of having devalued the office of PM. To fulfill his ambitions, he has made at least three attempts to topple our government. But on each occasion his astrologers have misled him. This pattern, I am sure, will be repeated today. At his ripe old age, I do not expect Shri Advani to change his thinking. But for his sake and India’s sake, I urge him at least to change his astrologers so that he gets more accurate predictions of things to come. Read the entire speech consists of personal attacks, which is not worth to read.
