Mr Jaitley said he was confident that the people of Karnataka would give the BJP at least 120 seats. His own pollsters had indicated that unlike the poll surveys that gave the Congress an overwhelming majority, the BJP would do well in the south, in the coastal districts and the northern districts.
No news channel can predict who's goning to win. Wait till the result on 25th May announced. Till then support your party and candidate and put votes for them and then relax.
with obligations of several favours from sonia and company at centre, cnn-ibn has done a job to serve the ruling familys interest, in going for opinion survey--even if it be bogus-- too much in advance,, may under the instructions of sonia family-- but let them understand such bogus survey,at wrong times will harden the peopls ire against congress and put more zeal into congress opponants-- now you can rest assured congress will weep and sweep only at sonia's specious garden but not at all in karnataka elections

Bangalore, April 29: "There is no question of [B.S.] Yeddyurappa contesting a second seat," Arun Jaitley, the BJP%u2019s canny campaign manager in Karnataka, told this newspaper on Tuesday, scotching speculation that the BJP%u2019s chief ministerial candidate in the Assembly elections was going to stand from Koppal. "He will stand from Shikaripur and no other seat but Shikaripur. He will win very comfortably from Shikaripur. He may spend only a limited time there and campaign in the rest of the state, but there%u2019s no question of Yeddyurappa standing from Koppal," Mr Jaitley said when asked whether the BJP was running scared."We are not running scared," he said, railing against the Congress. "He%u2019s the main player, and that%u2019s why they%u2019ve targeted him. He%u2019s the target, they want to pin him down and stop him campaigning throughout the state. Its shows a complete lack of confidence on the part of the Congress and the JD(S)." Shikaripur will see the ageing but never say die S. Bangarappa pit his wits against the soft-spoken B.S. Yeddyurappa, who was briefly chief minister of Karnataka but who is well known within the state for espousing the cause of farmers. Refusing to answer questions on whether the BJP would seek an alliance with the JD(S), with whom relations have soured, Mr Jaitley lashed out at the Congress and the Janata Dal (S) for announcing plans not to field a candidate against Mr Bangarappa, state Samajwadi Party chief. "I think that th
THE WHOLE SHOW ON CNN-IBN WAS A FLOP, BECUASE OF THE BODY LANGUAGE AND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS OF THE PANEL WAS WEIRD, GIVING THE IMPRESSION THAT THE ENTIRE SHOW WAS DOCTORED OR WINDOW DRESSED FOR THE BENEFIT OF ONE PARTY, HEADED BY MADAM ANTONIO AND HEIR APPARENT RAHUL.
In Hydrabad Karnataka BJP is going gain very well. Bellary 8 out of 9 seat BJP will get it even ST are supporting BJP big time. Also in Gulbarga BJP got great leaders like Vydyanath Patil, Raju Gowda(surpur), VerBasanth Reddy Mudnal, MY Patil, GB Javali( son in law of veerendra Patil) and JP is going get at least 6 out of 13 seats. I don't understand CNN-IBN agend to support Congress.
Congress far ahead of BJP in Bangalore should have produced a weird smile for S.M.Krishna. After SM Krishna returned to Bangalore congress did an internal survey of Bangalore's 28 seats for a safe seat for their CM candidate and found out Krishna would be hard pressed to retain a seat in Bangalore. So plan B of putting him in Maddur in Mandya. But massive rebellion in Mandya district made congress to abort that plan. Give credit for CNNIBN for putting their forecast in reverse. 120 for BJP and 20 seats less for congress
Congress ahead of BJP in coastral Karnataka would seem to be amusing news to even Moily who would have jumped to the first opportunity and throw his hat to CMship.(Currently he is not even a rajyasabha member after getting thumped by BJP 3 times). Same case with Janarana Poojary, Margaret Alwa, Oscar Fernandez. Same case with Janardhana pujari. All Kannada newspapers said congress would be hard pressed to retain 1 seat in this region (Ullal which after delimitation has become Mangalore North with several Mangalore city wards merged with it). Even when BJP has rebel in Puttur (home seat of BJP state president Sadananda gowda) papers are saying BJP rebel will win and congress will be hard pressed to save deposit. The region is 100 percent literate with least incidence of poverty in entire south India or for that matter India. Yogendra Yadav has to find a reason that congress is ahead due to support from lower section of society when upper castes and OBCs are solidly backing BJP. Narendra Modi drew the loudest applause in karnataka when he said coastral region is South India's gujarat. I am 100 percent sure Yadav of CSDS will give 100 reasons why his forecast did not work when results are declared on May 25. One time failure is OK(In Uttaranchal and Punjab last year). Second time is OK. But if you keep making mistakes like this CNN has to find a better pseuphologist and pack Yadav to Kerala or Bengal for accuracy in poll forecasting.

I agree with that...in north Karnataka, they accepted MP Prakash and all his followers just on the hopes that they can put up a decent fight against BJP...coastal Karnataka BJP no contest, main fight will be in south Karnataka...same leaders who got JD(S) support in 2004 are all gone aside from its first family...winning seats outside Hassan will be a challenge...BJP and Congress likely to eat up JD(S) seats in Mysore, Chamrajnagar, etc...and I think in Andhra Karnataka Congress has more to lose, Bangalore no clear picture...if BJP has firmly make its presence felt in old JD(S) bastions, it will be in power.

BJP recently got good leaders in old Mysore region like GT Devegowda, Madhu Madegowda, Prakash KR per, kempegowda, Ravena Siddaiah, Benki Mahadev. I strongly feel in Mandya , Mysore & Chamarajnagar region BJP is going to gain good numbers. It all depends on local candidate who is contesting in election. If party has good candidate he can win. Survey has no meaning
