NUKE ISSUE - PANEL
by VENKATARAMAN RAMACHANDRAN on Sep 03, 2007 11:39 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is surprising to note that CPM will have six members in the Panel. Is it safe to show all tthe confidential documents to CPM members, as they invariably work as broker for Chinese and Pakistani officials. Even one of them work against India by taking the confidential documents and pass on the secrets, it will be disastrous. Just to gain their support to run the Government, the Congress should not put the safety and security of the Country in jeopardy. The Congress should go ahead and sign the deal, which will make them as the most powerful Government to take decision in spite of sacrificing the Government, which will certainly make them to come back with thumping majority in the Parliament.

Though agents promote Ulips instead of term policies, the latter make more sense for pure insurance purposes.

Sanjay Khatri, a young telecom professional, was recently purchasing a life insurance policy.

While scouting for the right product through different agents, he found that a large number of agents were very gung-ho about Unit Linked Insurance Plans (Ulips).

"The returns are very good and you get both investment and insurance on a single policy," he was told. On cross checking with his friends, he found that some of them had also bought similar policies.

With his mind made up, he approached his financial planner to scout for a Ulip that matched his age profile. But to his surprise, the planner shot down the basic idea to buy a Ulip.

The advice was clear: "No point in buying a policy that is way too expensive and does not provide adequate cover."

When he sought an explanation, here's what he got: Ulips typically charge you a large number of fees. This starts with premium allocation charge, followed by policy administration charge, fund management charge... the list goes on.

Especially, in the first year, there is a deduction of about over 40 per cent from your premium.

In the next two years, these amounts come down but it is still as high as 20 per cent. Only in the fourth year onwards, it settles at 4 per cent per annum. Compare this with a pure term policy and the numbers are dramatically different -- a mere 7 per cent in the first year.

by Sahadevan KK on Sep 03, 2007 11:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

On Sept. 30, 2004, The Planning Commission included foreign experts from World Bank and Mc Cancy as business consultants.

Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister signed a defense agreement with the US on July 2005.

July 18 2005 Held India-US Joint Press Conference.

U.S.-India Agricultural Knowledge Initiative Board included Wal-Mart and Monsanto members India-US agreed on agricultural collaborative research projects.

Signed in crores of arms deals.

UPA government left their independent foreign policy and voted two times in IAEA against Iran, even they have mentioned a free foreign policy in CMP.

Four Left parties suspended the UPA-Left coordination committee on share selling of Navratna PSUs. Then Sonia Gandhi made it cleared that it is halted.

Even then they have started to sell the shares of Nalco, Orissa and Lignite Corporation, Tamilnadu. Left and DMK's massive strikes were fruitful. DMK was ready to recall their ministers from Union Cabinet.

After Left's opposition in Pension Fund privatisation and 49% FDI in insurance sector could not implement till today.

He told a newspaper that He is going to resign. He told another newspaper that Left can withdraw support.

Left's outside support is crucial, even then Manmohan Singh try to avoid them. He thinks it is a child's play to lead coalition government.

Whilst every political party work for their own interest, the CPM is working in their interest and against the interest of India by supporting the Chinese in the Nuke deal, and clandestinely nominating the Pakistani supporter for VP position, as per the recommendations of Chinese. Any way, why should we bother about our country, because the Country and its Government never bothered about its citizens - they bothered only about vote bank politics, which is evident from Congress succumbing to the pressure on every issue.

Do we have a Law in our country - the Constitution clearly states equal opportunity for all. Do we get equal opportunity for all - we have reservations for every signle community and nobody is treated equally - everyone is treated based on their community/religion etc. We have no Indians in our country. We are all subjects of vote bank politics.

Yes Mr. Venkat, we are victim of the system, Congress has given, we have come to a point of no return, where no political party inlcuding left/organised unions are dare engough to speak against SC/ST/OBC reservations. Congress due to Sanjay Gandhi faced debicle due to family planning in 1976, even this national issue haunts everyone.
Some of the issues are shameful. Our constitution made in 1950 has become stale, needs drastic amendments as per todays requirement linked to accountability.
