Not good news
by bharat on Nov 01, 2007 04:07 PM  Permalink

Manhandling media persons not a good news at all. but some time watching the news of some chanels and nespapers we feel someone have to reply them. Some of the chanels behaves like can throw stones as long as nothing expected back.
some of the media believes their duty is only for pleasing their political masters show only negetive side of opponents. Media ignoring the truth sometime expect this type of insidents too. In whole India knows 15 years of Lalloos gunda raj distroyed Bihar and state listed the standerd of most backward state of India. Now people knew bihar is much changed and heading towards developments. But this medias never shows any good thins.

In Tamilnad M Karunanidhi's sone and gundas attacked sun TV and killed 3 of thier scribes. Is Lallo was sleeping in those days?

In bengal Media and scribes are not allowed even visit Nadigram. By CPM gundas many scribes being attacked. where was the indipentand media people?

In abroad until few years before BBC and CNN covers news about india only if some where flood or communal clashes or beggers and epidamic deseases. Never they show any good thing about India. Even an international conference in a fivestar hotel BBC shown the reporter speaking out side the hotel with a backgorund of a slums.

Now more indipendant news chanels world wide starts showing the other side too. People watch only those chanels shows truth.

As long as we had the remote in hand people can avoid the chanels which is parcial.

''Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because

Bihar has been the favourite punching bag of the Indian English
language journalist community, actually not just the journalists but
many English speaking "elite" of India. We see the parody of Bihar
bashing being played out everyday. Sometimes one feels upset, sometime
angry and sometimes pities those indulging in this. If one had hoped
that with the end of the Lalu raj in Bihar, Bihar bashing would stop
or at least abate, well nothing of the sort has happened.

What is it that makes Bihar bashing such a favourite pastime?
Actually, it is not just a pastime, but a vocation or "dhandha" for a
certain class of the journalist brethren, as we shall presently see.

Very correct. Bihar has become rozi toti of these disgruntled media people who shy to report many good things otherwise happening there where it's chief minister has been asjudged as the best CM of India. Be it girl education school education, SAF, Panchayati Raj, industrial project approval, new education system and increased investements....not a single report about them is reported by thes emedia guys..and they call themselevs as journalists for misguiding people at large..criminal cases inf act should be launched against media TV channels.

In the nineties, the newsmagazines and the electronic media started to gain prominence and the importance of the Old lady of Boribunder and the Virgin Spinster of Chennai started to loose their importance in the National media. For sometime, there was relief as the new media barons sought to portray new ground. However, this was a short-lived honeymoon. Soon the new media discovered the power of denigrating Bihar to further their financial success. If one examines the news related to Bihar in the 'national' English press of this period, one would instead find the three issues of Land Reforms, Casteism and Criminalization of Politics. Like a broken record, each of these three issues was repeated to death. The portrayal became so hackneyed and to a script that one could almost predict the 'news' without going through it. Many journalistic careers were launched over the debris of Bihar by the tried and tested formula of raising these triple issues.Soon they found the success educated Biharis were seeing in various competitive examinations like civil services and officers of the bank and the issue of the corruption in education was added. Among these four, you could cover by far the majority of the articles on Bihar in the 'national' English media. Sometime around this period, the ational media discovered Lalu and his usticity and they had a new stick to beat Bihar. Mind you, Lalu was introduced only as a character in the script, the issues remained the same. None of the issues t

The quote you made best suits you. If media is wrong, is Anant Singh a great leader. It is the job of the media to give news. If Biharis think otherwise, no one can help.

Bihar the reason for its failure
by amit singh on Nov 01, 2007 02:18 PM  Permalink

Bihar was an important part of India's struggle for independence.Gandhi became the mass leader only after the Champaran Satyagraha that he launched on the repeated request of a local leader, Rajkumar Shukla, he was supported by great illumanaries like Rajendra Prasad, Anugrah Narayan Sinha and Brajkishore Prasad. After independence also, when India was falling into an autocratic rule during the regime of Indira Gandhi, the main thrust to the movement to hold elections came from Bihar under the leadership of Jaya Prakash Narayan.

This has resulted in two things:

1. There is no regional identity for the state. Its voice often gets lost in the din of regional clamor of other states, specially the linguistic states like Andhra, karnataka etc.

2. Bihar has gained an anti establishment image. The establishment oriented press often projects this as indiscipline and anarchy.

These people are flying very high..think everything is their property and can fall to any extent to get sensational news flashed on channels.
They don;t report good things happening in our society, good people working overnight to deliver good things to society, good governance and development but they are very interested in showing the bedroom scenes of celebrity or political parties...sting operations like immorality has become now full time journalism ...this all we call journalism..one side these same people have no spine to openly criticize muslims over Godhra on the name of secualrism and same time they talk about followup gujrat riot for sake of Democracy!
These journalists ar ein fact today rots of society and must be beaten black and blue wherever any public finds them doing nonesense...
keep on watching more such reports you are going to have.
No doubt anant singh is a criminal and what Nitish kumar did to him after this episode is commendable but same time these media people are no less and must be treated like this to make them understand their real duty instead of sellers of sensationalism! WQolrd know how brutal thes emedia men are who don't even hesitate to cover a rape victim on national channels for interview or telecast sleezy stings of some person's private life ..and very easily take backseat when time comes to crticize antinational activities being done by communists by blocking nuclera deal or fighting to pull down from Kashmir!

Then how do you come to know that Bihar CM is best CM in India. It is because of the media. Human nature is to forget the best and remember the worst!!! Nothing to blame on media, even if it is not a media person this might have made headlines!!! Those are the people who brings you information across the country!!! if you think it is all bluff then better stop watching the particular news channel. Anant Singh approach is unacceptable, if you think so it is correct then i am really sorry, 21 criminal cases is not going to honor him for all the rubbish he is doing

I am not supporting a criminal but sametime I am against the bigger criminal of our society who is full of intelelctuals on wrong path. They have done tremendous harm unnecessarily to Biohar, over projecting it more negative palce than it is actually! How you will feel one in classroom everday only one child is bashed for the same fault which others too do?
