This is what we can get if 50% people don't vote
by rajesh on May 11, 2007 12:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What else can we get if more than 50% of the eligible voters do not cast their rights ?. I think the so called educated people do not have rights to crib about getting Mayavathi / Mulayam & co. as they do not vote at all but make all sorts of comments when SP / BSP etc. win the elections. Time to wake-up dear Indians if at all we need to progress....

Rajesh, lakhs of people have migrated from UP to other states for studying and skilled jobs. Should these educated people vote in UP? The irony is that Election Commission expects them to vote in those states. I doubt if they vote there either. Migration from UP worries governments of states like Delhi and Maharashtra. UP universities need healthy academic environment. Electricity supply is essential for promoting industries.

rajesh, you raised a good question. Most of the 'educated' ppl are not showing interest in voting bcz they don't depent on Govt for their bread earning. They think voting-day is a holiday and they go-out for picnic or resort and enjoy!

The latest technology can be used for voting.
it's the time to develop a system - electonic voting (eVote).

Its high time we should bring in a law that those who don't vote are punished.
1.There should be a poll tax. Those who want to vote will have to pay tax ( Rs 1000.00 ) and those who dont vote should be punished by fine of Rs 1000.
This will cover the cost of election and more people participation.

mayawati government
by Madhukar Deo on May 11, 2007 12:38 PM  Permalink

BSP it appears will get clear majority to form the government. It is a matter of interest to find out how this government is going to change the future of UP people in their life. If mayawati realy takes advantage of all fractions of the society Up people will be lucky for this change

The results have spelled doom for the people of UP. Mayavati is here just to earn money and trouble Mulayam and other people. BJP should have been the best option.

Thr results had given clear indication that Mayavathi is the Future CM and they had done it really well because Congress is banking on Gandhi - Nehru family dont u think there is also other people living apart from them. BJP is wholly banking on star campaingers and also those old leaders who are very much biased. SP had cheated many backward and muslims and depended on amar singh and amithabachan and MAYWAVti on the otherside single handedly campaigned and won the elections hats of to her and she is the best CM for uttarparadesh.

It seems that people of UP have rejected Rahul Gandhi, in fact the whole Nehru-Gandhi parivar ... rest of India are also waiting to do so.

The people of UP have also rejected Raj Nath Singh, President of BJP, and Kalyan Singh, who hail from U.P. and the whole Ram Leela Mandai.
