The need of the hour is educate priests and tantris...Tantra shold change with time for good..There is no point in following same old tantra without any introspection. Most indian priests just know mantra and tantra , but they dont the meaning of those rituals. Which Shastra says non-hindus shouldn't be allowed to temples? No veda and upanishads says anything abt it. Most of these rituals need a relook.

Dear Bhaskar,
I rememeber Bengalis as very sweet people to talk too, socialize with; very tolerant etc.. but your venom posted doesn't fit with that image.
Coming back to your postings; WHY SHOULD Christians; Muslims; Sikhs etc... not allowed to enter into Hindu Temple; when a Hindu can enter their places of worship ??? Let India be a leading tolerant country; so that the world acknowledges our superior ancient civilization.
So please convert yourself this instant to a "Tolerant Person"; with respect to people of other religions/caste/creed etc...

Arre, Mr. Hilsa, Valayar Ravi's son IS a Hindu. Next the priests will, like Hitler, examine family trees.
I completely agree with Mr Ravi. Brahmins are the main culprits in dividing the Hindu society. Who gave them the authority to monopolise the Hindu Dharma and pass diktats ? Brahmins have hijacked one of the best religions on earth and turned it into playground of personal whims and fancies. God has no religion. Mandirs ( the place where the God is supposed to reside )are meant for everybody believers and non-believers alike.
You should know the difference between a Brahmin and a Priest. All Brahmins are not Priests. The humiliation you have suffered is on account of the customs practised by the Priest. I am a Brahmin and I am with you in condemning the despicable practice.
Fight. We are with you in your fight to bring such customs to their end. Do make it a fight between the sufferers and those who follow the evil customs. You should know, Brahmins as a caste do not suffer the arrogance of the kind you have charged them with.
Do curse the custom and fight against it. Do not allow it to sound like a caste war against the Brahmin. Our petty politicians do it everyday and they do get a political mileage out of it.

1. Increase in the world religions from 1934 - 1984.
An article in Readers digest %u2018Almanac%u2019, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in %u2018The Plain Truth%u2019 magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235%, and Christianity had increased only by 47%. Which war took place in this century, which converted millions of people to Islam?

Dear Javed,
Islam is the fastest growing is very inaccurate, if implied worldwide. It may be fastest growing in US, where many criminals in prison and violent people as reported are turning to Islam for acceptance of their nature, after being a society misfits. So please don't impose statistics of a tolearant society as US (where also statistics is only available). If only Middle East was a tolerant society as the US; then other religions would have been very prominenet there; i.e. the Middle East. But unfortunately, Muslim countries just don't tolerate co-existense of other religions. So please don't equate. Please pray that Islam does becomes smaller and smaller year by year, so that the world will have more PEACE; LOVE; DEVELOPMENT; Less terrorists; jihadis etc..., for the welfare and development of the entire human beings species without any discrimination towards nationality/race/religion etc....

dear raj
Every Muslim should be a terrorist. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the antisocial elements of society, such as thieves, dacoits and rapists. Whenever such an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word %u2018terrorist%u2019 is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to selective people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.
Islam is derived from the word %u2018salaam%u2019 which means peace. It is a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world.
Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the Religion of Peace: Islam. He should be a terrorist only towards the antisocial elements in order to promote peace and justice in the society.
With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur%u2019an says in the following verse:
%u2019Let there be no compulsion in religion:
Truth stands out clear from error%u2019

Let us see what Vayalar Ravi says... The fact is that till the 1970s I was not going to the temple. When I became a member of Parliament in the 1970s I didn't swear in the name of God but took an oath on affirmation. So he was not believer when he was in the peak time till he came across some really bad situation in his life... So then he prayed all these lords :) Ha so again when he feel he is secure he will again say "Iam a non believer" from 80's to 2010 I visited mandirs but not now.. :)

dear what you have written is completely out of context here. even a first time goer has every right to condemn such behaviuor of priests.
Many number of devotees are visiting the temple. Is it possible for anyone to check whether he/she is a Hindu who is entering the temple to offer their prayers? Or will the temple priests demand proof of religion from the devotees in the form of some idenity cards?

Hindus also cannot escape they too are as bad as any one else. They try all sorts of natak like non-violent,peace,hindu culture all these are having problems too.
this issue has nothing to do with ezhava caste.existing laws of guruvayoor temple forcess the thanthri to do punyaham.if this were done by a brahmin and wife be a christian the would have done the same.law should be amended.but hindus should not allow christian and muslim groups to make profit from this issue.this is a simple issue can be sorted out within 5 minutes discussion.
These political idiots always know that we should not enter in to the pious dwellings of GOD, they enter and make political contraversies. It is clearly mentioned in all pious dwellings of GOD, that non Hindus are not aloowed.

This matter is just between an individual (and his family) and the temple. The "Commies" as u call them are in no way involved in this. I guess it has just become fashionable to put the blame on the communists for every problem.
