Hindu religion has laid down certain dos & donts to folow. Like this every other religion has its own. If a person violates, it is out of his own and not recognised by the religion. After having done a violation, seeking defense to that act amounts to sin. And trying to wash it of in temples and b4 god is ridiculous. Further, blaming a particular community for maintaining dignity & honour to the religion is not a commentable one. It is shabby on the part of the MP to make a deregatory remarks on a particular sect to gain political milege is abnoxious. When there is a precedent in his life(purification ritual at Guruvayoor) why then he chose to go to the temple deliberately to invite the wrath of the temple authorities. It is not his temple but for people who really follow strictly the religious conducts. Why has he not chose to appear before a bishop in a church and start chorunnu. He can thus create history and gain more poplarity than at Guruvayoor. His intention is to create a furore and to become a hero by his deeds & words. Whe he chose to sleeep with a christin wife and facing the wrath of the temple,he can better get his family mixed with other available religions and become totally secular. Largely a great message. However, the suggestion for people to be educated in vedas etc and giving up alcohol, meat is unreasonable, I think. I don't think all that's necessary as long as people are good to each other.
If hindus say there are many ways to get to God, then why this fuss about a Christian? We should treat everyone equally beacause we are all humans first.
Xtianity is a Chavunist cult. Its a disgrace to be called a religion, who says: I AM ONLOY TRUE STUFF, ELSE YOU ARE INFIDEL.

For starters, figure out how India should deal with global warming....do some research in that direction. It seems in 50 years water supply situation in India is so grim, most cities won't have enough water to drink even if they purify the sewerage supply.
