Is this a personal thing or an issue
by samson lawrence on Jun 05, 2007 11:34 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

and the issue is are we all going to be still discriminative?
are we going towards universal brotherhood with respect to all or stick to outdated traditions?
I hope we are better than petty.
Does anyone really believe that anyone should be stopped from worshipping the God he likes?
The Priests were childish and so was Vayalar. Are we all also childish? Dont we need to grow up?

Vayalar ravi,

Did your wife enter Guruvayur temple? Are you hiding facts. If she entered Punyaham is alright, because we don't want any Christian to enter before he/she converts to Hinduism.

Rajan... as far as my limited knowledge about Hinduism goes, there is no procedure/formalities by which a person belonging to another religion could be converted to Hinduism....

Have you ever heard of anybody converting to Hinduism.. I have heard of people converting FROM hinduism to other religions....because other religions are surviving only because of people converting from Hinduism...which is always an overflowing vessel...

Dear Brahman, there are 4 centers in Kerala(3 in the capial city Thiruvanantapuram and one in Kozhikode) where any person can return to Hindu fold by following a certain ritual.I believe it is OK as 99% of Kerala Hindus and 95% of Kerala Muslims were once Hindus.

Sankalp - those centers do not go by any vedic teachings or ceremoneys which describes conversion to Hinduism... Hinduism is a way of life and not a religion and hence converting out of Hiduism and converting in to Hinduism does not .... it is always said that converted in to Isalm or in to christianity (not converted from Hinduism). Those centers are created only to facilitate (or to counter conversion to other religions) a person who wants to come back (RETURN) to Hinduism..

Have you heard about a Christian or a Muslim getting converted to Hinduism in those centers?

Brahman,

A person named Francis, or Joseph cannot claim that he believes in Hindusim. If he believes in Hindusim, he should rename himself with some Hindu name, remove his cross etc. EVeryman is born as Hindu and there is no particular formalities/ or procedure to become Hindu. But Hindus would atlease expect that when somebody claims to b e a HIndu beliver, he will himself change his name acordingly.

Babu

Sister Abhaya believed in your faith before she was raped and killed by a wealthy and powerful Chrisitan man who is still at large.CBI is heavily influenced by this person.Your faith didn't help Abhaya and your faith didn't make that killer any less than a Monster. So keep away from converting Hindus.Shut up!

I can give you a documentary that says Jesus was a well intentioned human being who was made God's son,by virgin birth etc by a manipulative and dogmatic Church.See the documentary The Lost Tomb of Christ. It shows what Bible really is,a book of falsehood.Jesus is a great man,but Bible and Pope and Vatican and Chrisitan Church(the Real Estate Kings of the world) are to be kept away

Jesus could not purify the heart of his follower Judas during his own lifetime. Then how credible is your theory that Jesus will purify peoples'hearts after he no longer exists in this world?

If u believe in second coming of Christ, why u criticise hindu theory of re-birth? So u r saying "Christian religious dogmas r the best religious dogmas in the world".

Jesus is not dead. That's why it is said that chrsitians worship the living god and not idols. Jesus was resurrected. Proof that god will never let us die. Don't you want to live in an eternal heaven by accepting Christ as your saviour?? Why would you want to go in hell by not accepting him???

Abhishek,
Christians threw Mahatma Gandhi out of the train, bcoz he had black skin. Christians took black innocent people (like you) from Africa as slaves and sold them in Europian markets. Recently Shilpa Shetty was insulted by christians bcoz she is an asian.

Wake up. Accept Hinduism. Hinduism culture says "Basudeva Kutumbakkam" this means "The whole world is one family".

Dear Readers,

Please stop responding to this brainwashed, hallucinating, schizophrenic, lunatic. Leave him and his ilk to their own worlds. Nothing gained by responding to him. No matter how hard we all try, he and his ilk from all religions would continue trying to hide the light coming through a hole with all the darkness in their brains.

Get some treatment, abhishek.

Ridiculous
by Sridhar Vuruputoor on Jun 05, 2007 11:30 AM  Permalink

As long as The temple Tantris do the same purification for the entry into the temple of the children born to a Brahmin/Christian couple marries then they cannot be accused of Brahminical arrogance. Rules are same whether the children born to Ezhava/Christian couple or Brahmin/Christian couple.

Also, Unlike other religions, Hindusim doesn't recognize conversions from other religions, nor evangelical spread of the religion. You are either born into it or not, thats it. Individual beliefs are totally out of this.

So, Ravi is just playing to the gallery. If he is so sincere Hindu, he need not go to temple, for the mistake he committed by marrying a christian. God is everywhere and he can still prey to god even from his home.

Anand,

Reveal your true identity? You are an idiot.
Manu Smriti was not written by God

Is there any instance where a non Muslim or a Non Christian allowed to enter the Mekka/Madina or Vatican? If that is right, then this is also right. If you allow Non Hindus to enter into our temples then the sanctity of our worship will be lost. Then they will claim a piece of our temple. For that also these studid anand Iyers will support."

Do u mean to say that hindus should do all the things that muslims and christians do? Do u mean to say that teachings of hinduism r no different from Islam and Christianity? If u want to do all things taht they do, why oppose them? Read chapter no.9, verse no.29.

If muslims/christians claim a part of temple land, no one is a fool to concede them that. But if they want to visit and pay homage to the deity, what is wrong?

He is a crooked politician and knows how to whip up emotions like saying he is untouchable etc. He and his community is the richest in Kerala and is a leadind a muchj more comfortable life than so called upper castes. If he doesnt believe in temple customs, why should he go there. Anyway they didnt prevent his or his son's entry. They purified the temple with the temples money and for the benefit of the deity. Devotees are not complaining. This Ravi doesnt seem to be a devotee, just a politician

Each and after every pooja, the temple will be purified, irrespective of UCs or LCs coming to temple.

Mr. Vayalar Ravi so called minister in the crooked UPA Govt. wants to increase his vote bank

We need to be aware of these immical secular forces who is trying to defame Hinduism and in particular attacking Brahmin community.
