President and Vice President Candidates
by swami pudipeddi on Jul 28, 2007 04:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In fact any party in power should intiitate who should be the Presidential and VP Candidates. A list of name should go roung and the most accepted canddate be put up unanimously.
When you say that execising Franchise for MP MLA elections be made compulsory how is that the so called third front did not participate in voting of President. Why they did not initiate Dr.Kalams second term much earlier? Have the people leceted them asked them not to take part. Abstaining from voting is not protest but it is helping UPA candidate who looks much older than her age although she is very efficient and should be respected.
Just like Communists put up a candidate against Dr.Kalamto show they have a right to put a candidate knowing fully well she loses. Is it not waste of Public money?
How is that the Parties made a hue and cry that Dr.Kalam should not contest. Passed very nasty remarks. Why leaders like Lalu is nt retiring after serving a single term?
Therfore, it is futile to contest for Heptulla.

How many candidates should the ruling party put in the list? Chances are they will all be rejected until they include the one that BJP wants.

Majority, not unanimity is what democracy is about.

which BJP governments were dismissed? just list them and i'll tell you why they ought to be dismissed.

In fact, Vajpayee should have dismissed Modi's govt. why was that not dismissed?

BJP cries foul and forgets when they didn't play by the rules. LOL

There is no need of president and vice president ast all even governors are not required . They do job only when a new govt formation is required for that sake one day president from eupreme court or somewhere else may be selected just like one day internationals. They don't do any work there in fact they enjoy a big 5 yrs vacation only and unnecessry public money goes in waste. If at all some president or governor is required select a newly married person so that he can go and enjoy a 5 yrs beautiful honeymoon.

Why not a dalit woman
by pooja gupta on Jul 28, 2007 03:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pratibha Tai was a former PCC chief in Maharashtra. But Jamna Devi is the current PCC Chief in MP. But, Sonia has not chosen her to become president. Is it because she is an ST. It would have been better that Jamna Devi (a woman ST)become President and Rabri Devi (an OBC woman) vice president. But, unfourtunately both President and VP Nominee of Congress are from Forward caste. This proves the Congress and UPA are only shedding the crocodile tears.

Pooja, why you sugest Robery devi? do you forgot 15 years Lallo and Robery looted left to right and down to up Bihar and distroyed that state with their jungle raj. do you forget what was lallo robery's income and assets 15 years before and how much they had now.

Many other good womens in congress and other UPA members never suggest thiefs names to loot this country.
