Till now we have been under the impression that Dr Kalam was holding on to the papers! A a mischivous impression was created by these anti-national elements that it was the Presidents level it was pending! Sorry Kalam -Saab forgive us if you can! Now it appears that there is some truth to these rumours that it was CPM and leftist "intellectuals" who were threatening the Govt of withdrawing left support if they agree! Since the congress cannot live without power they agreed to this shameful act! Then they say we are opposing terrorism! What a country!
If kalam did not receive papers why did he not disclose this earlier when bal thakre was criticising him for delaying afzals hanging ? maybe then NDA would have supported him. why was he quiet them ? was it because of UP elections or sonia's gag order ? All's not well with missile man.

Clearly a point we all have... He should have spoken, and demanded the application from shivraj patil... No need to justify it now, when you are out of presidency, and now are only a profesor.. Shiv Sena would have voted for Shivraj Patil, for him being maharashtrian, totally disregarding that he is holding back afzal's hanging on behest of his master, Sonia Gandhi... Shiv Sena is a Joke.. I cannot wait for Bal Thackery to depart... Udhav thackery will be taken care through political pressure, and BJP will then supremely rein in Maharashtra... Maharashtra pride is okay, but not at the expense of the nation..
In this articles on 13th Feb on Rediff (http://www.rediff.com/news/2007/feb/13parl.htm?zcc=rl) Rediff reported that Afzal Mercy petition was submitted to the President. At least one of them is lying. Either it was submitted on 13th Feb and Kalam is just shying away, or Rediff report was wrong. Its a fact that Kalam didnt want to take any decision on this issue. After spending 5 years among politicians, instead of improving politicians, Kalam became politically "correct" by being indecisive about this issue

few words but loud message.vote bank politics paly the key role.with no political background,people will be hanged.remember my words,next time if attack happens on parliament or elsewhere,no serious thinking polce personnel lay her/his life.time is short.police are demoralised.criminals get full protection from policians.i am against capital punishment,but where is the other alternative.kandhar episode is before us.all blame goes to ruling class.police will be watching only.it is only a matter of time.
I knew it from the beginning. And I have posted it on some discussion forum on rediff long ago.
But the question is - what next?
Everybody knows that ordinary citizen of India wants Afzal to be hanged. And there were some people (including Mr. Azad of Congress) in the UPA Government (led by Mr. Manmohan Singh, (Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, rather) of Congress who were against the sentence.
In this situation, how the Congress let Mr. Kalam take the credit? Now they will decide to hang him later next year %u2013 ahead of 2009 General Election and claim the credit saying that they are great patriot and they even neglected their party men.

I am frustrated that the decision is not our hand. I woudld have hanged every dirty politician cong or non Cong.
Kalam, after leaving the President office is talking big big things where this things should have been discussed with the political parties, if he really cares. Another polite white politics.
