Such a nasty incident surely deserves a severe punishment like this... This will definitely make rogues like these three think twice about the consequences before they dare to do anything like this in future..Hope it does not take long for the sentenced to visit the gallows..

HANG THEM QUCKLY
by srinivas iragavarapu on Feb 16, 2007 11:48 AM  Permalink

The guilty must be hanged without any delay. Delay politicises the crime. Confirmaion by high court, appeal to supreme court and clemency petition to president must be disposed off very quickly.

the right thing
by Viral Doshi on Feb 16, 2007 11:47 AM  Permalink

the punishment is still a little soft. it ought to be harsh enough to put the fear of god and retribution to all such future idiots. jayalalitha must come out in support of the decision as soon as possible.

You kidding? the whole roof would come down if you try to hang Jayalalitha and it would kill may more people.

As of these three criminals, some punishment worse than killing should be ordered!

by Hariharasudhan on Feb 16, 2007 11:40 AM  Permalink

Good judgement over those barbarain activities to show politcal power. I would appreciate to give life sentence to remaining 25 people who encourage this activity (Anyhow they got 7 years in prsionage).

Burn them
by andre joseph on Feb 16, 2007 11:40 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These animals should not be hanged, but burnt little by little till they die and this should be telecast all over India. Yes, it is barbaric, but what else can one say when these three goons were responsible for nipping three young lives in the bud. Can one realize the agony those girls must have gone through as their life went out of them? What about their near and dear ones? This is justice well served, but only partly. They should meet the same gory end that those girls met. Sometimes I think the Islamic way of punishment is right, though it is blunt thinking. My belief in the Indian judicial system has gone up one notch after this judgement. I am beginning to think Indian law is fair after the Priyadarshini Matto case, Jessica Lall case and now this one. Long live the Indian judiciary. Jai Hind.
