Advani is a hard core politician-He build BJP to a single largest party.He changed his hardcore Hinduvta to great extent as he knows keeping his babri image, he cant be PM.rationally thinking he is will make a strong PM and India needs one.Maybe lot of us are not party to his past deeds but past should not rule present in politics.
