Guys, can you expect any secular or impartial journalism from a journalist like Syed Firdaus Ashraf? Shame on this guy to highlight only attrocities on musilms and ignoring all the heinous acts done by muslims to hindus. I have lived in Gujarat for 13 years of my life and i saw BJP come to power by killing (scavanging to power) by killing god knows how many muslims and hindus in the process, i blame BJP or RSS whoever in 1992, who destroyed the masjid, since then being a muslim in Gujarat has always been a crime. I am kid of a Central government employee and i think Gujarat is a larger shame on India than the riots incited in 1947, or the British rule. I think you have been victim of such violence, no matter who it happens to, or u are one of them who does it? Regards, Jay

If you had read history properly, this is not even 0.5% of what Islamic invaders did to India by plundering our wealth and partitioning our nation.
It's amusing to see the comments made in article. How can you blame Modi for your each and every problem? I guess one of the reason for this is you are not getting special treatement(appesement) as you used to get in any congress rule. Also all the state run development schemes cover throughout Gujarat(Be it Jyotigram or Sujalam). One thing for sure that Modi won't spend his valuable time neither in Minority bashing nor Minority appesement. So don't try to gether sympathy by saying that you are living in fear as not a single gujarati is interested in riots.

Sir, I think u are right, its not Mr.Modi, I think he is a genius, he is the next potentail Mr.Advani, he has carried, fuelled and used (exploited) the great hindu sentiment of the innocent gujarati people much better than anyone else, so much so that gujarat is always treating muslims differently than the other 30 states in india, as if they are stupid and Mr.Modi's Gov is the only one who knows what do do with muslims (even though he has no right to do so). It is the people of Gujarat who have been mislead into this game of harted and since they have also gone scot free for so many decades, they now are actually beleiving in the lie, repeated so many times that muslims are their neighbours.

I am sure that most of the muslims are peace loving. But they should ask themselves the following questions:-
1) Why is it that they do not control the belligerent elements in their community? Why is it that moderate muslims do not control the radicals?
2) Why is it that Hindus and tamest of them all Gujarati Hindus hate muslims - if at all?? Years of repression from radical muslims who have got away with anything ??
3) Why blame the Hindus for all their misfortunes - as if they are poor ONLY because of Hindus?? Are the Hindus responsible for all their problems??
4) Why seek and accept reservation on the basis of their religion AFTER CLAIMING THAT THERE IS NO CASTE SYSTEM IN ISLAM?
5) Why do they not raise a voice when Kashmiri Pundits are slaughtered?
6) Why is there no condemnation of Coimbatore blasts,Mumbai train blasts from Muslim Community?
7) Why is it that Godhra is not an issue with muslims - only Post Godhra an issue with them?
8) Why is it that Indian Union Muslim League not a communal outfit but VHP is??
9) Why is it that they have no appreciation for the Hindu community which has given them a much better standard of life in India compared to Pakistan- why do they eternally feel short charged?
I am not saying that Hindus are faultless - but it is superficial to blame Hindus for everything - I dare say that militant Hinduism, if it exists, is a creation of militant radical muslims and silent moderate muslims

i think you have some valid points. but as a muslim i can tell you muslim do condemn terrorism and criminal elements but sadly they are uneductated and lack media management and ability to express themselves. i condemn here that no one has the right to take anyone's life.

True ... we would be happy not have a guy like Modi around but looks like he is just an alter-ego - a creation of Islamic aggression and fundamentalism. As long as these things exist, a Modi will be born every day.
I believe rediff.com site is completely biased and it should be banned because writers who write articles on this site are more communal than people believe modi is a communal leader. This site is simply creating communal rift between people of gujarat who don't even have time to think whether riots are going to happen again or not, but if people keep reading articles on this site will definitely affect the harmony among people in Gujarat and such biased articles on rediff.com would distract people of gujarat with the same riots ghosts. So, it's an urge to Rediff.com editors to stop writing such articles which simply incites people of both the communities to write bad things about each other.

I have a heart to give u answers, but u seems to brainwashed(evidence: ur questions) that even if i gave u the most legible answers for the next 1000 years, you wouldnt want to understand, coz u are a victim of institutional/political/communal conditioning.
