When Late Indira Gandhi fell in love with Feroz Khan while studying in abroad and cross the limit before marriage, Late Mahatma Gandhi immediately adopted to Feroz Khan and given his name as Feroz Gandhi, then after he became Feroz Gandhi. Then Gandhi family continued as Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Soniya Gandhi etc., But in a democratic country it is permissible to change the name as per prevailing law. Well said Bhupi... The aim of GHANDHIs is just that. When a person is labelled as backward, many people will come to know about it. Just remove that tag and see, in less than 5 years nobody will come to know who is backward/SC/ST and who is not. This is because people now are scattering around the world for better livlihood.

I completely agree with you. Rahul dont have any right to talk about PVNR. PV is the guy whop started the globalization process whose fruits were later taken by all the govts and the handsome amount of money most indian people earn is because of PVNR. Congress is benefitting the progress started by PVR in temrs of globalization and today Rahul crticizes the same guy without whom congress is no more. Why sonia didnt came out when Rajiv was murdered? Where is rahul when PVNR is ruling? Where is so called Nehru family when India is in a big mess?

Where are these so called intelligent voters, in cities?. They go on picnic on the day of voting. Uneducated people will vote for Rahul's hand.
Destiny thrust the responsibility of leading the nation on Mr.Rao and he led the nation at a very critical juncture. He had the guts - with a minority Govt. - to appoint Dr.Manmohan Singh as the Finance Minister and support him to the hilt. We today are reaping the benefits of that decision today in the form of better standards of living.
But it still remains a fact that more than 60% of our population are yet to taste what quality life is. The farmers and villagers of our nation continue in misery and poverty. True liberalisation is only when they are liberated from their present fate.
But the fact remains that at least for the fortunate few of our nation it is Mr.Rao who is the messiah.
Rahul Gandhi had the audacity to speak about Mr.Rao's one decision. But what about the 40 year rule of the Nehru dynasty congress PMs who brought the nation to such levels from where it took a Rao to rescue? Why is he silent about the deeds or lack of it of his papa, grandma and great grandpa ??? He is just taking advantage of the ignorance of the general UP masses.

Wrong. Trouble at large scale started in 1989 when VP SIngh was PM, and that rose to maximum in Rao's pmship.
The congress leaders should know to that Sri. P.V.Narasimha Rao was the best prime minister the independent india ever had. I am sure there cannot be no one in future either.Sonia and her children should atleast be grateful to this man to keep the congress flag flying for three years. But for his deeds congress would not have come to power once again. If they cannot realise it is their ill luck and they cannot progress from this point.He was the only prime minister who gave full freedom to all the organs like the Supreme court, CAG, Electon Commission and all.Had Arjun Singh or Pawar were the Prime ministers our country would have gone back by 50 years. see what thay are doing now.Arjun singh is a failure and he want to thrive on reservations than on performance of his ministry. pawar is flop as agriculture minister as he couldnot take steps to avoid the farmer's suicides. a the same time he is also flop as Board president of bcci with the worst show ever by an indian team in any tournament in recent times. let Rahul Gandhi follow The great prime minister and not arjun singh or pawar. Dear friend have u forgotten the various scams that took place in the P V Narsimha Rao government time and he and his son were directly involved. He had really led the country down, then how he can be great. Its really a shame on part of us and country that our CBI is not able to pin down these sort of persons due to political pressure. If this would not have been the case than surely we would be in a position to see more than half of the politicians behind bar.

I am surprised at the outbreak of peoples comments in Praise of Mr. Narasimha Rao, not because i dont find him worthy of praise, but bcos I have always been surprised that while we have jayantis and remembrances of every small leader in India, nobody even knows the birth anniversary or death anniversary of This great leader. I am sure we are not doing justice to this great leader , it utmost disrespect!!!He was a true Chanakya, a politician who knew how to play the game and effectively too, something we really need in these days of Leaders who lack the initiative to take things and do it!! His reforms were nothing short of revolutionary, but alas who remembers him!!!
